We had a short break at this hotel. The service was good, magnificent array of choices at breakfast which we enjoyed in the sunshine. Gym equipment was good. The modern room was well equipped and thoughtful touches of water and chocolate each day were a nice treat.

Great Boutique hotel in the middle of a high end shopping district in Madrid (Barrio de Salamanca). Great restaurant (one of the top in Madrid) for a gastronomic experience. Also great restaurants in the area. Excellent service and a nice lounge area.

I am not sure if I should start with the amazing service, or the perfect location, or the stunning garden, which feels like an oasis. Perhaps I should simply say that this has been the best and most memorable stay I have ever experienced in Madrid. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home. But I... More

Beautiful small hotel steps away from wonderful shopping area. Ramon Freixa restaurant in hotel--delicious and exquisitely prepared and plated dishes served with great attention to detail, wonderful service! Experience was definitely wonderful and we believe we definitely got our money's worth.

Staff was unbelievably gracious and helpful! We arrived to Madrid exhausted and without our luggage and the staff made us not only feel welcomed, but helped expedite the arrival of our luggage. It is in the most fabulous barrio in Madrid; quiet and homey feeling, none of the hustle and bustle of the big touristy areas! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.... More

Snugged in one of the best shopping streets in Madrid and avoiding the noise of Calle Serrano, this hotel is an old traditional Spanish house rebuilt with the upmost care. High quality materials, decoration and lovely smell all over. Service is great and attentive and the common areas next to reception are stunning. A true hidden gem. On the cons... More

Excellent location in fashionable leafy area, close to good restaurants, upmarket shops, the large Retiro Park and the art centre of Madrid. Very helpful staff who helped us select and book restaurants. Plan and book restaurants in advance and eat late if you want to have the best dining experience in Madrid. It is well worth booking ahead to get... More

Very nice hotel. Staff will go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need and are very polite. Hotel is in a quiet area which is really well kept but at the same time it is not far from most of the main tourist attractions and station. Room was always really well cleaned and we... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
