Stayed here during Semana Santa (Holy Week) and paid a very good price. Beautiful corner room with balcony overlooking the plaza into Plaza Mayor. Quiet at night and very friendly staff. The room was very clean and modern. 3 Large floor-ceiling windows and the corner balcony made the trip. Ask for a corner room and you can enjoy the balcony!... More

This hotel is located quite close to the Plaza Mayor, a very attractive square in the heart of Madrid. The most surprising aspect is that the hotel is very quiet given its location in a busy part of the city. The rooms are not very large but overall OK. The breakfast is very good and cheap when compared with what... More

There is some debate in Spain as to which city has the most impressive square/plaza. Salamanca, Toledo and Malaga have reasonable claims and the Plaza Espana in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the little known capital of the Basque region, is a gem. However the cobbled Plaza Mayor strikes a chord with everybody entering it for the first time: it is here that one... More

I visited Madrid, Spain in 2011. It is one whole square & the structure is simply amazing. It does look old from far, but a lot of history is made at this place. I also heard the ring area was used for bullfighting scenes? There is also tons of souvenir shops just around the corner, & stepping into one...it seems... More

This was the second trip to Madrid for my wife and me. We stayed at this hotel both times. The first time we had one of the more expensive rooms which was fairly large. This time we decided to keep costs down, and went for a less expensive room. Both were a good value for the appropriate price. The location... More

Rooms are small but adequate – a trade off for its reasonable price and superb location right near the Plaza Mayor. There is a nice sitting area on the floor we stayed with sofas and bookcase full of books people had left to share. We picked up a couple current travel guides! We walked to all of the major sights... More

My sister and I stayed here last week while visiting Madrid. We will not return to this hotel. While it may be in a central location, it is a very touristy location. Calle Atocha is a rough street, and the nearby Plaza Mayor is notorious for touristy price inflation and terrible food. Let's say as two 20-something American girls we... More

My wife and I spent five days in this wonderful little hotel just off the Plaza Mayor square in Madrid. While the hotel is not a fully luxereous hotel by any means, it is very quaint and clean. The hotel is in such a great location for site seeing and just looking out the window at the rooftops in Madrid.... More
