This hostel is Very well located close to the metro, in an nice and quiet neighborhood, the beds were comfortable and all the areas were clean and nicely decorated. Helpful staff also. Common fridge available. It's definitely a good price for what you get.

Really well located and nice rooms with good service. I enjoyed living there for few days, it was really comfortable and the room were really useful. Moreover the way the rooms are disposed look like a huge shared-flat with individual room

Good location for a plane accommodation more than enough for a confortable stay in Madrid for a few days. I stayed in a single room with bathroom. The bathroom is unusual since it seems a cupboard, although is more than enough. Moreover, it is new and clean. The fornitures are plane and the beds confortable. If you are looking for... More

The hotel was O.K. and well located. However we were unable to sleep due to the huge noise coming from other rooms and other floors of the building. It was very disturbing and disappointed. The bathroom is in a closet in the room. It is not a proper bathroom.

This is a very basic hotel: ok if you don't plan on staying in your room much and prefer to spend your money on something else. Tiny, noisy rooms with little light and not much in the way of decor. Clean and simple. Extremely noisy: bring or buy ear plugs or you will get no sleep. It's a fairly good... More

Not an easy location to find parking. Parking on the street extremely expensive. The hostal is in a 3rd floor. The entrance smell was disgusting. The room was smaller than expected. The bathroom was inside a wardrove and was tiny. No bathroom aminities at all. The shower was ridicoulous. Small and with little water flowing. It was not very clean...... More

I really enjoyed my stay in Hostal Salamanca. The rooms are very clean and tasteful, with a lot of pleasant amenities (TV, AC, luxurious showers), and the hostel is conveniently located next to a metro station (Manuel Becerra). But what really makes the difference here is the quality of service. Indeed, the staff members (who all speak a very good... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
