Lovely looking room. Decent continental breakfast, though a kettle would have been nice as opposed to a microwave to boil water. It was a bit cold, the heating didn't seem to be doing much. Great accommodations in Madrid. Only complaint is that there is no elevator and the rooms are 3 floors up. Other than that it is a great place. Cozy and great location. more

Me and my boyfriend booked a room for two nights at this hostal in July, as well an airport transfer, and we also paid a small amount in advance. On December 1st, subsequent to an e-mail sent by me, we were informed that the airport transfer was no longer possible. Two days later, we were again informed - by e-mail!!!... more

The entrance to this hostal is less than impressive as it is via a shabby, littered doorway which leads to 64 well worn and dingy, wooden stairs in what appears a semi derelict building. I was at Hostal Oxum in downtown Madrid and I was delighted with the place, the service is excellent, the rooms are very modern, beautiful and clean and I felt in a big hotel really paying very little, apart had many tourist sites in Madrid near. Really is more than a Hostel and stayed there ever return to Spain. more
