Excellent location for getting around Gibraltar. Very friendly reception staff, especially the weekend manager and the morning receptionist who gave me tips and directions of where and what to do. I had a twin room with exterior view which I could not fault. Great to have English TV available and own a/c unit. Breakfast pleased me as Marmite was available... more
Was viisiting my son who lives and works in Gibraltar so was after a hotel with a central location as I was there on my own. Having booked a single room was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded to a twin room on my arrival. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - and fun! The hotel decor was quirky... more
We stayed at the Bristol for 1 night only in Nov 2007. We were due to attend a wedding at the Elliott Hotel, but couldnt get in there as there were a number of wedding guests ( from other weddings as well as the one we were attending) staying there. We went to Tourist Information as we arrived in Gib... more
We had to leave our cruise on QM2 due to my father in laws heart attack, the Bristol was a haven for one night while we arranged a cheaper long term appartment . The hotel was a bit of a rabbit warren and our rooms were situated on different levels. The staff were fantastic and couldn't help us enough to... more
I have just returned from a trip to Gibraltar and stayed at the Bristol Hotel. I took a party of seven young gymnasts out to take part in a competition.I have nothing but praise for the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean with maid service every day, a fridge in the room and a kettle was supplied when we asked.... more

We asked for a double but got a twin, with no fridge or closet/drawers. It was actually comical and very much like Faulty Towers! more
Just returned from Gibraltar and had been recommended this hotel for its location which indeed cannot be bettered. I agree with all the comments made previously. The hotel is a very old building which has been converted in a haphazard manner by erecting lots of partitioning. It is dark, not helped by the carpets, but overall quite clean. The staff... more
I stay at the Bristol every year and book with Thompson as I get a good rate for the flight from Gatwick and a good room rate. The hotel is very centrally located in Cathedral Square and the rooms are clean and comfortable - if not luxurious or particularly modern. The staff are friendly and courteous and they remember their... more
