As said by others, the place could do with a lick of paint - but apart from that it was fine. We had nice sized rooms with balcony. The hotel was at the far end of town, making it a stroll to get to most shops and bars - although there was the hotel bar and another one directly opposite.... more

The receptionist was helpful enough but not overly friendly. The room was really dated, bare walls, a single bed and a small tv. The room, the staircase and reception seemed like it had not been redecorated in at least 20 years. There was peeling paint in the staircase walls. The tiles were falling off the side of the bath. The... more

Good bit: Location was handy for the centre and next to cable car although Gib is not a big place. The maids were really friendly as was the manager (I think he was anyway) Bad bits:Shabby chic. The attitude of the other girls working there in reception and the restaurant was atrocious. Not one smile, not once, from any of... more

Stayed at this hotel March 2009, and as previously mentioned the hotel is for all intents an of the purposes in the middle of a large roundabout. A car park space was eventually found some 150 yards away from the Hotel but what it will be like in high season i dread to think!. The outside apperance of the Hotel... more

This Hotel is fantastic value and well located for sightseeing. The breakfast was hot, well prepared and more than sufficient to start my day! The staff were always helpful and polite. I would recommend it! more

I first visited Gibraltar in 2006, and have been back every year since. The first time was with MYGIBRALTAR, and stayed at THE BRISTOL HOTEL, although the room was excellent, the hotel was let down by the breakfast room, so last year I looked around, and booked independently and stayed at THE QUEENS HOTEL, and did the same again last... more

Looks better on the internet than it is in reality. Dated Iberian decor needs modernisation. Not suitable for disabled (tiny lift; steps on some corridors and to bar/dining room; steps at entrance.) Basically the hotel occupies a large traffic island in a one-way system so traffic noise is considerable. Within 200 yards of Cable-car; botanical gardens; Trafalgar cemetary. Buses north/south... more

Had a lovely relaxing time in Gibraltar just recently. Breakfast was fantastic - discovered my early-life love of shredless marmalade and seedless jams. Rooms were well decorated and the fresh flowers made a real difference. The staff were friendly and stayed up most nights listening to me talk about electricity - wheich i thought was nice of them to be... more

There is limited hotel in choice in Gibraltar (as it is a very small place). The Queen's Hotel is the only 'budget' hotel around. We paid £65 per night. We arrived at around midnight due to flight delays. The clerk on the front desk checked us in quickly. As other reviewers have stated, the rooms are very basic. Our queen... more

Nonsense of Manchester is spot on, this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in, it was so bad it was comical. I imagine in it's heyday this WAS anice hotel but steer clear, the price may be ok but i have stayed in far nicer places with character at less cost, the highlight has to be the bed... more
