Yes the hotel does need a Face-Lift. I lived in Gibraltar in the 1970`s. The Rock was THE hotel to stay. I believe it still is. I stayed for 2 weeks at the Rock in October. A hotel with a good reputation which was once the best hotel in Gibraltar. Not any more, whilst the location and views are good the hotel has a run down feel.

An average stay. Room okay but could do with a makeover. The view was wonderful but the level of disturbance from the staff directly outside our room was relentless and completely unacceptable. For this reason, an otherwise very good hotel gets an average review.

The Rock Hotel is a truly stunning building; imminent refurbishment will further enhance its quality. The position with amazing sea views is perfect (quite a steep walk up from town, but there is a bus if you don't feel like the walk).

Spent a night in the Hotel after travelling down from Spain.
