We have just returned from a two night stay at the Rock Hotel and stayed in a room with a balcony, which had a lovely view over the bay. The room had been modernised and was very comfortable, in fact the whole hotel was really nice. I think the front of the hotel could do with a lick of paint... more

Upon arrival we were greeted with the wrong room and a flooded restaurant and an unhelpful receptionist. Once our room was changed things were a little better but there was a smell of damp throughout the hotel and we both felt it was probably past its sell by date. The bar once we found it was lovely and the meals... more

Some reviews talk about the need for refurbishment - rubbish. The hotel has beautiful lounges with many comfortable chairs and sofas with great views looking out over the harbour and bay. For casual dining there cannot be a more exquisite place than the wisteria patio, and the spacious bedrooms are first class - kingsized bed, balcony (again with a terrific... more

Buffet breakfast excellant. There is a good bus service that stops directly outside the hotel but the buses stop running at 9... more

Last here in 1984 when The Rock Hotel & Casino were the place to be and be seen. Sadly some 25yrs later all this has changed. Although advertised as having a casino, it has not existed for a number of years. The complimentary coach servise provided by the hotel has also been cancelled, making this a nightmare for elderley or... more

Having visited Gibraltar a great many times over the past 20 years I can confidently recommend The Rock Hotel. For many years this hotel was out of my price range and to some extent it is still a pricey hotel - but it's what you get for your money that makes this a great hotel; the attention to detail, the... more
