the cannon hotel has to be the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. it is filthy, badly decorated, so old fashioned! in our room, 103, the top cover of the bed had stains on it that I don't want to think about, the sheets beneath were not much better and were so thin you could... Stayed here whilst meeting up with friends. Advantages are location and price. Is in the centre of town and is inexpensive. Disadvantages are shared bathroom and it is somewhat dated. All in all for the price i don't think you can complain.

A colleague and I recently stayed at this hotel. We had read the reviews on Trip Advisor which were on the whole neutral. We found the hotel with no problem, the welcome was pleasant enough and checking in was no problem at all. We were furnished with a map of Gib to get around. The room was a little basic,... More

The Cannon is trying, but barely..be warned the bed we had was the worse ever and we have travelled lots in all kinds of conditions and places...we are both in our late 50's. The breakfast was not good, nothing more to say...the wifi was good, the location is great but nighttime noisy from the bar below, the shower was hot... More

Having been in Gibraltar many times we thought we would try the Cannon Hotel. The reception area was also the bar and the kitchen as the cookers were behind the bar. OK this was cheapest in Gib but the dining room had odd chairs and not very pleasant. Coffee pot on a table for all to use and cereals alongside.... More

This hotel is budget, very dated but it was clean, in the centre of town and a great price. Our room was located on the first floor at the front of the hotel, it was a little noisy first thing with the road sweeper that kept going up and down but on the whole I didn't think it was as... More

Great location Reasonable rates Breakfast passable Staff pleasant enough Rooms grubby furniture recovered from tip in Spain Bathrooms dismal beyond belief So way stay? Location and price. If you're just there for a couple of nights its great. You could go to the Bristol Queens or even the Caletta and pay double or triple and to be honest these are... More
