stayed here in may very helpful staff room was one of the biggest we have stayed in, lovely view (room 204) could'nt sit on patio though, no chairs! breakfast was what you would expect for continental, filled us up! the only negative we could find was that some areas both inside and outside were looking a bit tired and in... We've been to Gib many times and always stayed at the Elliott or The Rock, both of which have things going for them and are a bit closer to the shops than the Caleta. We've never stayed at the Caleta before because it's a bus ride away and it didn't look much cop from the outside. It's a concrete building... More

Stayed at the caleta for 6 days in June and celebrated our wedding here. The sea view room had the most amazing views, couldn't fault it! The staff kept the rooms spotless and they had a fridge/haidryer and anything else you could have wanted. Staff were very attentive and when a query arose with the bill it was rectified quickly... Nice basic hotel on the rock great views and good bar areas. The room was basic but nice with a great view from the balcony of the sea.The bathroom needed a bit of attention but was OK. The location is about 15 minutes walk from the centre but there is a free bus service which stops right outside the hotel.

It is my third time at this hotel and found they are have improved a lot inside, the outside is a little scruffy but then with the position and climate it will be hard to keep in good shape. My only complain would be the Parking or lack of it, other than that very nice.

First visit. Loved the location away from town centre, very quiet and peaceful. Stunning views from balcony - de luxe sea view room essential. The exterior was a bit tired, pool not heated and no shade in pool area. Main problem was the extremely hard beds. Restaurant dining was prohibitive as minimum charge £20 pp for food only, so couldn't... More

Not your average chain hotel. Quirky and a little bit run down, but in a charming way. Friendly staff & good service. Lovely big airy room, nicely decorated & furnished with amazing sea view - can see all the way to Africa on a clear day from the balcony! About 30-40 min walk into town centre, but free bus stop... Our first visit to Gibraltar. We do not do city breaks in general but this is one we enjoyed. The bus runs every 20 minutes up to around 9pm and at the time of our visit there were no fares payable but this is to change. Picks up in front of hotel and drops off a short stroll away due... More
