Where do I start, I fell in love with the photos on the internet when we were looking for somewhere to have our wedding reception, we visited last September and knew straight away that this was the place. From start to finish Rhianna (one of the events co-ordinators) could not have been more helpful, she took so much pressure of... more

We spent 1 night here. The hotel is in a nice location with lovely views. If you book a seaview room you are away from the traffic noise so it is quiet. Our room , a seaview with balcony, was shabby, paint was peeling off the walls and the bathroom was not clean. The bed was very uncomfortable. It did... more

The downside to the Caleta Hotel is the location relevant to the town area of Gibraltar. At the same time, this tends to be an upside. The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride or drive from the tourist center of Gibraltar, as it is on the opposite side of the rock. Still, this results in a quiet and picturesque... more

Have just returned from a week there, out of season. We had just about every type of weather and that variety was to prove crucial to the Caleta experience. We had a Deluxe Seaview room on the lowest floor with the sea just 30 feet below. The hotel is perched on rocks just above the sea on the east side... more

Having read previous reviews we booked a deluxe sea view room expecting to get a better standard than some of the rooms described previously. Unfortunately, it was more indicative of an average 3 star hotel. The carpet was badly stained & the windows hadn't seen a window cleaner in a long time. Strangely, the hotel overall can be described in... more

Not four star, travelled all over the world and this was an appalling hotel-staff were rude and slow, hotel needs revamp-all furniture old and tatty, room was dirty (stains on carpet, hairs in shower), at least a 10 min taxi drive from the centre. Such a shame as it is in a beautiful location and could be a wonderful hotel.... more

really good hotel in a good location. saw monkeys just outside the hotel on the first night which was a good start! bus stop is a five minute walk from the hotel and it is 60p for a single fare in to the town. hotel pool is nothing special but has everything you need (comfy sun loungers, parasols and towels).... more

Where do I start... We were staying at the Caleta for a friends wedding, with a small party of around 20 people. The staff attitudes ranged from chamber maids who were the nicest people i met on Gib to the staff behind the bar and in the restaurant who just weren't helpful at all.. Dont get me wrong this hotel... more

My family and I stayed at the Caleta in July 2008. We had booked a family room to accomodate the five of us (2 adults./3 teenagers). From the outside the hotel looks good. The boys were happy to see some Barbary Apes as soon as we arrived. There is a troop that lives on the rock across from the hotel... more
