Asked on check-in if I could have a bay view room (instead of Rock view booked) and was allocated one without extra charge. View was good, very quiet overlooking side street. Main street is literally 100 metres away with all of its' shopping duty free during the day, very quiet in the evening. Best places to eat are Irish Town... more

OK, so we were there for a specific purpose, namely Passover so didn't have much choice of hotel. For those who might be interested, the Passover hosts did a fabulous job and fed a widely-disparate group of people with almost unlimited amounts of food with grace and good humour. The hotel is recently refurbed and not unpleasant. Our bedroom was... more

I wanted a short break away on my own somewhere warm, and decided on Gibraltar. The Elliot Hotel seemed the best bet, so I booked it via a company on the internet. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is very close to Main Street for shopping, yet fairly quiet. The only noise I really found annoying was the... more

We stayed here for four nights in May. We had a junior suite room which was huge. The bathroom had a bath but the room was tiny. There was plenty of hanging space and a small balcony. The room was kept clean and hoovered. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful as were the bar staff. We ate in the... more

Our second trip to Gibraltar, stayed at The Rock the first time, absolutely brilliant, but a bit of a trek uphill to hotel. Chose the Eliott because it is so close to the town, and a level walk. Nearly didnt even look at the room when I realised it was next to lift shaft! Had bad experiences in the past... more

This was my first trip to gibraltar.I found the location of the hotel excellent. The room was very big and spacious and had excellent views. The only things i disliked was the breakfast - When i went up for breakfast at 08:00am there was a queue of people in front of me to get into the actual resturant. Also i was told... more

Stayed in this hotel for two nights in March and was delighted with the service. Staff are helpful and the breakfast was varied. Rooms are rather expensive but are very clean. Pool and terrace was slightly dirty as out of season and not maintained. Gym was also rather disappointing and lacking in equipment. Would recommend for a short stay. more

Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Elliott. The first room we were allocated was right next to the lift shaft and therefore rather noisy, however, once we swopped rooms we were overal satisified with the accommodation. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a fairly sizeable shower (no bath) with reasonable toiletries and was kept... more

My room on the 6th floor was large with a double bed 6ft wide (2 singles joined) with very comfy mattress. The room was clean. Shower was hot and powerful. I was annoyed that they clain wifi throughout, but charge £12 for 12 hours, which is an absolute rip-off. However I found plenty of free wifi in town; Cafe Solo... more
