Despite the hotel has only 2 stars you'll get an excellent service and will have a chance to explore local people's life during the tasty meals prepared on request from fresh ingredients in the hotel restaurant. Breakfasts are rich, served with freshly squeezed orange juice. Rooms and bathrooms, and the whole building of course are very clean and fully air-conditioned,... More

We stayed for 3 nights just after Christmas and could not fault the service we received. We were offered a choice of rooms due to bed type and size because the owners thought we may prefer a larger twin rather than a smaller double. The rooms at the front may be noisy because there is a very popular bar next... More

Stayed here one night on my way down the coast by train. Quaint, comfortable place, a short taxi ride from the train station. My room was nice - small but with a queen-size bed. Overall attractive décor. The family made my supper - I was the only one eating there on that December night. I selected my own fish from... More

A very clean hotel with wonderful owners and staff. Typical smaller sort of European rooms but very well kept. I would come back here any day. One of the more enjoyable places I have ever stayed. Good food as well. You must try the local Iberian ham and bread. Superb!

Wife and I stayed 3 nights while waiting between cruises. Selected this hotel based on reviews posted on Trip Advisor. As with any stay you rate based upon your experience. Given that, our stay was absolutely wonderful. We elected to eat breakfast and dinner each day because of the freshness and taste of the meals and because Fernando and his... More

We stayed here for a wedding which was elsewhere in Vigo, but we *loved* Hotel Gamboa's central location! Breakfast is yummy, rooms are clean and decorated with love, and we had a great, cast-iron balcony. The service is absolutely exceptional: when we had to get a pair of shoes fixed, the hotel staff walked us to several shoemakers, and when... More

We arrived after a long cycle and were warmly welcomed and helped. The hotel is small (with an elevator) and very personal. We had a room with a terrace and it was great! The bed was comfortable. Our luggage was brought to our room. Any little thing we needed was gladly provided. Our breakfast was made for us in the... More

We stayed at this small family run hotel for 2 nights in August. I was bowled over by the hospitality and care that Fernando showed us. He helped us park the car, he booked tickets for us and arranged reservations and gave us useful travel advice. Basically the service was well over and above for a three star establishment. Location... More

Right in the centre of old Vigo and walking distance from major shopping streets and restaurants. The staff is incredible nice and always trying to help your stay more enjoyable. There is a public parking at 50 meters from Hotel with special rates for the guests. The rooms to the back are bigger and quieter as the area is full... More

We spent two nights in this beautiful Hotel and we really appreciated the kindness and the helpfulness of the owner's family. Whether you are looking for sightseeing, restaurants, or just for a genuine talk, José Manuel and Fernando will certainly fulfill your needs! Rooms are simple, but well-furnished and clean. Bathrooms are awesome: they have a modern design and the... More
