This former monastery is perfectly transfered into a hotel, what makes it special is that there are still some 50 real monks living here as well. Great ! The rooms were large, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was great, and very helpful. The hotel was a block from the Cathedral, and within walking distance of all Santiago sights. We walked the Camino de Santiago, and stayed at the San Francisco Hotel Monumento before and after our walk. The restaurant was very good. We were very pleased. more

Great hotel. It is beautiful, old, yet modern. The staff at the front desk is very nice and helpful. Good location. I loved it and highly recommend it. Only downside is the cost.
