An excellent hotel which is perfectly located. The hotel is very clean and the service is excellent. The staff are very helpful and will spend time in advising on how to make the most of the visit to Santiago De Compostela. There are plenty of good and reasonably priced restaurants close by. The Hotel Altair is very centrally located - about 8 minutes walk to the Cathedral. There are numerous bars and restaurants in close proximity, but none so close so as to cause annoyance or noise issues. The staff are very professional, friendly and obliging. Stayed with 2 kids at Altair June 9-10, 2008. Wonderful rooms, location, breakfast and friendly service. Best mattresses in Spain. Was 100% pleased. Especially liked their restaurant recommendation: "16" or dies y seis for galician food. Was the best restaurant of our trip.. more

This is a superb hotel in a beautiful city. Small but perfectly formed the hotel is elegant, stylish and comfortable. The staff are excellent and the fine breakfast makes a perfect start to the day. The hotel has our highest recommendation. more

Altair is simply one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed (I travel a lot all over the world). The location is perfect and our room is exquisitely furnished, quiet and comfortable. And about the staff...truly the best people in our trip. I would higly recommend this magical place to anyone. more
