We stayed 2 nights at Pazo Cibran, after landing in Santiago de Compostela airport. The inn feels like a home -- cozy, welcoming and full of personality. Our room was not luxurious but attractively furnished with what I'd call "vintage" wooden furniture that could very well have been in the family for generations. We had a small but really nice... more

This tranquil rural hotel has been an discovery for us. The perfect place to spend a whole week (as we did) to explore the southern/western part of Galicia. Pazo Cibran is a nice old Pazo with a pretty garden, close to the church of San Xulian de Sales. The hosts (Maica and Luis & Liliana a Paraguayan couple) are very... more

We had a lovely stay in Pazo Cibran! We stayed 3 nights and it was a great way to finish our tour of Asturias and Galicia. Maica and her staff, Luis and Liliana were all so friendly and helpful, it was like staying with long lost friends! The house itself is gorgous, so much history and tastefully decorated, it retians... more

You are in Viedra, 5km from downtown Santiago so you will need a car or taxi. A lovely spot to rest in. Few rooms, the feeling of a home, lovely linen, and one of the best hostesses you could ask for. She worked to arrange a masseur for my sore feet and even drove me there in case I could... more

Like other recent reviewers, we loved Pazo Cibran. The old house and setting are great. Our bedroom was nicely decorated and our bathroom had white fluffy towels, bathrobes, and lots of hot water. Breakfasts were good. The owner was a wonderful character. Her ability to communicate in a mix of Spanish, English and French made for a lot of fun... more

This 17th century country house affords the traveler a real treat--a taste of the countryside in Galicia, a leisurely Spanish breakfast, an impeccably clean room with grand bath, enchanting communal area, and a lovely lawn/garden. The proprietor not only helped us navigate the place after her friendly welcome, but spent almost an hour on her own computer, helping us find... more

We stayed with our group from Classical Pursuits in this charming pazo for five days in June of this year and it was wonderful. Located about a ten minute drive from Santiago, the pazo is in a wonderful setting where the sheep and church bells take you to another place in time. Maica, the owner, will bend over backwards to... more

Maika and her staff provide impeccable hospitality and warmth in wonderful and peaceful surroundings. The staff were very helpful and friendly, Maika even drove us into town to collect our hire car! The breakfasts are excellent and prepared using local ecological produce. There are also two great restaurants within walking distance, Roberto's and Gruta Martelo's (my favourite and definately worth... more

I was visiting Spain with my cousin and we decided to pay a visit to Santiago de Compostela - in the northwest part of the country - because we knew it was famous for the thousands of people who make the pilgrimage to it each year, crossing the country from the northeast on what's called "El Camino." We cheated and... more
