This charmingly decorated hotel has a wonderful friendly atmosphere, with really helpful staff who provide lots of tips on off-the-beaten-track sights and restaurants. It may not be an ideal place for a quiet rest after the Camino - we found that the bed was a little uncomfortable and the wooden floors throughout the building made for a lot of noise... More

Hotel Costa Vella offers exceptional hospitality in Santiago de Compostela. This small, charming, and affordable family run property offers convenience, professional service and a wonderful treat at the end of a Camino walk. The family also offer self catering apartments and another two stylish properties in the same street, just metres from the centre of town. Secure parking can be... More

The location of the hotel is excellent, in the old part of the town. Rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast is good though it is the only thing that could be improved a little bit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although there is no lift, they help with the luggage. Recommended place to stay in Santiago!

The breakfast is 5,5 euros and is worth every penny its delicious. The hotel has a wonderful relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Bedroom had a comfortable bed and was a lovely room. We upgraded... More

We stayed here for two nights in October on our way to Portugal. It is charming in the way that small European hotels are. What makes this hotel special is the staff who provided us with wonderful service. There is a small cafe attached with a beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious. It is located in the heart of the... More

A beautiful place tucked away in the old town of Santiago. Didn't stay in the hotel but definitely worth a visit to sit and relax with a coffee in the gardens. Gorgeous place to go and unwind! Recommend a visit!

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely room on the top floor under the eves, with a big skylight. Really cool! Staff was nice, location is a little out of the fray, you'll probably want to take a cab from the train station, but for access to the central part of Santiago, it a very short walk.... More

Couldn't have had a better stay. The staff was extremely helpful and kind; the location is perfect and close to everything - even the bus station. The breakfast is also lovely and big enough to provide energy for a least half the day. Good restaurants nearby, as well. Thank you for a great retreat following my Camino walk.

This is a lovely hotel and has an excellent location. The room was charming with a small sitting room attached overlooking the beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were all friendly, efficient and very helpful. There is no elevator but the staff carried bags up to the rooms and brought them down again at the end of our... More

Last year I stayed here at the end of my Camino, in a single room on the second floor. I think it was Room 203. The room was cozy, had french doors overlooking the street, and, very important after walking in the rain for a week---there was heat! The breakfast was spectacular, and I could rest and eat at my...
