From the moment we arrived and greeted by Roberto, my girlfriend and I realised we had landed somewhere special. Fantastic room and service, where every member of staff went out of there way to make you feel welcome. I have been lucky enough to travel to many countries and stay at many great hotels but the Costa Vella is right... More

I had a little trouble finding this gem of a hotel which is at the quiet end of the old town. On arrival my room wasn't quite ready so Roberto took me up to the second floor library, which overlooks their amazing garden and offered me a glass of wine and tapas. My room was beautiful with a lovely big... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in Santiago. We were only able to get reservations for two nights, and had agreed to move to another hotel operated by the same owner for our third night. The other hotel -- Hotel Moure – was very nice, but we would have much preferred Costa Vella -- it was simply a delight... More

Myself and 3 girlfriends stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in Santiago and everything about the hotel was excellent. Even before we arrived the hotel was really helpful in putting us in contact with a local tour company as we were keen to explore the region. The location of the hotel could not be better as it is... We had just finished the Camino Norte and were exhausted and needing a place to stay for the night. Found Costa Vella online and called them for two rooms. Nestled right in the city this lovely hotel was in the perfect location and very reasonably priced. The rooms were beautiful and the shower felt great after walking all day. Nice... More

I simply love this hotel. My third visit and I felt like I was coming home. The garden has grown.. Some garden renovations underway .... But still, a wonderful, restful sleep and that sensational breakfast - delicious! I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. There are plenty of places in the garden or sunroom for some quiet time. The staff... More

Stayed here at the end of a Camino trip and it was amazing. We had an attic room which was comfy and well appointed, comfy bed, great shower and liked that complimentary water provided and replenished each day. Breakfast looking out over the garden was excellent, lots of fresh pastries and bread with a bottomless cup of coffee or hot... More

We had a very nice room facing the garden side with an oriel where you can sit and relax. Very good breakfast for a very good price. And Roberto's tipps for restaurants are the best! We recommend Hotel Costa Vella.

We stayed with Roberto here for three nights and would love to have stayed longer. All the staff were super helpful and kind. Breakfast was a big hunk of toast with freshly pulped tomato and cheese - followed by croissant and almond cake . Juice , coffee or tea - as many refills as required . Good location -beautiful gardens... More

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We arrived after nine weeks of walking and it was simply perfect - the accommodation, the garden and above all the staff. Everyone went out of their way not only to be helpful, but to be welcoming and to make us feel at home. The hotel is beautifully appointed with lovely light and... More
