This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel Costa Vella in Santiago de Compostela. Both times I have stayed at this establishment I have found it exceptional in all aspects. The people are very friendly and helpful, the accommodation is extremely comfortable and the location is not far from anything in Santiago. I was talking to another guest... More

This is our second time staying at this hotel and they have yet to disappoint me. Service was excellent, the staff was very caring, knowledgeable and kind. Antonio was especially attentive. The hotel is clean and filled with character. We stayed one night before the camino and returned after the hike en route to the airport the next morning. We... More

We stayed here after finishing the Camino. They were amazing. Helpful, kind, courteous. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and they seemed to think it was what they were supposed to do. Everything was "No problem". A family run hotel that was neat, clean, comfortable and friendly. Can't speak highly enough of the hotel and... More

I spent one night here at the end of my Camino walk, and would have loved to spend longer if I hadn't already been booked on a flight out the next day. It is small and is located within very manageable walking distance (10 minutes) of the Cathedral but outside the main tourist hubs. It's an area where local people... More

Great service / staff, going the extra mile with a smile. Very nicely done, small hotel with a B & B vibe. Nice sun-room/ cafe - overlooking pretty garden area - with great breakfasts. No elevator, but staff will take bags up to and down from your room (ground plus 3 floors). Convenient to old town, cathedral, and recommended restaurants.

Wonderful place to stay! I arrived wet and tired after having biked the Camino from Porto. I was immediately taken in and taken care of. Fortunately, my room was ready, and I was encouraged to go upstairs and take a hot shower. My bike was out in storage and the staff facilitated the shipping back to Lisbon. The garden is... More

We stayed at another hotel owned by the same family nearby and decided to stop by for some refreshments. The staff was friendly, the prices very reasonable, and the garden most relaxing. It is located just within the historical area.

If you want to enjoy and appreciate good and friendly service where the staff wants to make your stay even better, this is the charming small hotel to stay at. Be sure to book the garden facing rooms for more space and to enjoy the great sunroom attached. The hotel just went through an extensive 3 month remodel, and it... More

This charmingly decorated hotel has a wonderful friendly atmosphere, with really helpful staff who provide lots of tips on off-the-beaten-track sights and restaurants. It may not be an ideal place for a quiet rest after the Camino - we found that the bed was a little uncomfortable and the wooden floors throughout the building made for a lot of noise... More
