Where to start with this place,I finished the camino portugese from valenca and decided to get myself a nice hotel with a bath for two nights at the end. When I arrived after my long trek I was greeted by a dark gloomy depressing unfriendly underground reception area with a receptionist to match. She couldnt find my booking for ages ,I went... When I first entered this hotel with my partner we already had a bad feeling. The receptionist was unfriendly and slow. There was a dim non-cozy light in the lounge, no music playing either. When we entered our room we both were surprised by the difference from pictures on Booking.com and the reality (see pictures). Also when we entered the... More

We stayed at Hotel San Lorenzo on May 2013. We had a reservation in Hotel San Carlos near the train station but the hotel was closed and we were transferred to this hotel without any expense. Hotel San Lorenzo is well located at a short walking distance 8 minute to the Obradoiro and old city. The hotel was probably built... More

Hotel it close to the old town and the cathedral. You can reach the city center by feet in 5-10 minutes. Stuff was very friendly. Rooms are rather small but it was not a problem - we just went there in the evening. There are several cafes near the hotel, Tertulia is highly recommended!

Just got back from Santiago de Compostela When was the last time you were given an actual key to your room..? this reminded me a bit of "Fawlty Towers" but in a good sense. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpfull. Large rooms but basic ones and very clean. Location is great if you want to be close to... More

Plus Clean room Large enough Friendly staff Comfortable restaurant Large socializing entrance Minus Walls are not soundproofed Too warm No view Noisy Hotel looks top class but overpriced and too noisy for good sleeping. Good area for hanging clothes. No English channels on a very small tv. Like that postcards and stamps are available but not correct stamps needed for... More

Just got back from Santiago de Compostela.. This wasn't our first choice of hotel, but as we required 3 single rooms at short notice, we were just pleased to get anything. The rooms were basic, but clean. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Distance to the historic centre was just about right.. Far enough away from the crowds,... More

It is a interesting hotel for anyone visiting the city but you need walk 15-20 minutes to the Catedral (in ascent) and other attractions (like The market and Art Center Comtemporrânea) are in the opposite side so you must walk a lot. All park in Santiago is paid but 300-400 meters from the hotel (opposite to the direction of the... More

This is a good option if you don´t want to spend much money. The location is perfect: near the historic sight with place to parking near the Hotel. You can reach the historic sight in 5 minutes walking. The rooms are simple but very clean spacious and comfortable. The staff is very helpfull. The only problem we had was the... More

I used this hotel as it was on the route of the Camino de Santiago. The proprietors were very friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast was very comprehensive for a continental breakfast. Room and bathroom were very clean. I am going to stay there again in a couple of days.
