This was our last stop after walking the Camino, and it was a comfortable, clean and modern hotel, a cut above the hotels we'd stayed at on the Camino. The rooms aren't big, but of adequate size. Breakfast is served on the main floor near the lobby.

We stayed here four nights and the hotel was clean and tidy, the staff helpful, plus it was handy walking distance to most of the main historical buildings, cathedral, restaurants, bars, airport bus stop, and the pilgrim walk trail. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. PJ Barker, author of the novel Changing Pillion.

Well located, secure, and very clean and comfortable 3 star hotel allowing an easy walk into the old town. Furnishings were modern and car parking available at nearby public car park (at cost). Our breakfasts were included and were good basic. The old town offered numerous restaurants (where we enjoyed excellent food), and there was a supermarket only a few doors... More

One of the best 3 star hotels! Nice location, 5 minutes walking from old town, the rooms are with good size, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, very clean. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel because there are several cafes near by. Probably on my next stay in Santiago that will be my choice. Good quality/price!!!

This hotel was a lovely little retreat after completing the last leg of the Camino. It was a short walk from the main town but the room was spacious, clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in Santiago. A taxi from the Cathedral was only €5.

The Hotel San Carlos at Santiago de Compostela is located right in front the Galicia's Parliament, at Rúa del Horreo, a nice street (some traffic in workable days) with several cafes, restaurants and even a supermarket, so there's no problem at all if you book a room without breakfast. The street is one of the entrances for the city centre,... More

Two adults and two children (12 and 15) in a spacious room. Near the commercial and historical city center and the train station. Perfect for getting to know the city on foot. Breakfast buffet varied. Lovely staff and always available. Just a counter: the windows of the room had a view of ... the roofs of neighboring houses.

After completing my Camino, actually wanted to stay two nights at the very convenient Hospederia San Martin Pinaro which is right beside the Cathedral but the hotel was fully booked and my tour agency couldn't extend another night for me. So they placed me in San Carlos. Now, as a hotel on its own, it is thoroughly efficient. Clean, spacious... More

Very nice hotel within easy walking distance to the main attractions. It was clean and well appointed and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We needed to stay another night and it was no problem. The rooms were a little small but comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great.

We spent two nights at this hotel. The room was old fashioned but clean and comfortable although quite hot so we had to open the windows which made it noisy. The bathroom was small but well appointed and had good lighting. Breakfast was hit and miss and the dining room was not big enough if all the guests came down... More
