I stayed for 1 night (room 205). After arriving early at 9:30am from Coruna by train, was checked in straight away to my room. The hotel is located conveniently a few minutes walk from the train station, and the cathedral also within walking distance. The double bed was comfortable - nice and firm (without being hard) which I like. The... More

So, after having to abandon the Camino AND have a train breakdown, getting us into Santiago after one in the morning, we we so glad to see the Hotel San Carlos. Close to the train station, the desk clerk greeted up by name, was happy to switch our room from a double bed to two twins and was as friend... More

Good Hotel, nice rooms, gold location. Staff was very friendly and helpful, as we needed their assistance with bikes, luggage, reservation confirmation and forgotten electronic device (they actually phoned our next hostel!).

This was our last stop after walking the Camino, and it was a comfortable, clean and modern hotel, a cut above the hotels we'd stayed at on the Camino. The rooms aren't big, but of adequate size. Breakfast is served on the main floor near the lobby.

We stayed here four nights and the hotel was clean and tidy, the staff helpful, plus it was handy walking distance to most of the main historical buildings, cathedral, restaurants, bars, airport bus stop, and the pilgrim walk trail. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. PJ Barker, author of the novel Changing Pillion.

Well located, secure, and very clean and comfortable 3 star hotel allowing an easy walk into the old town. Furnishings were modern and car parking available at nearby public car park (at cost). Our breakfasts were included and were good basic. The old town offered numerous restaurants (where we enjoyed excellent food), and there was a supermarket only a few doors... More

One of the best 3 star hotels! Nice location, 5 minutes walking from old town, the rooms are with good size, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, very clean. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel because there are several cafes near by. Probably on my next stay in Santiago that will be my choice. Good quality/price!!!

This hotel was a lovely little retreat after completing the last leg of the Camino. It was a short walk from the main town but the room was spacious, clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in Santiago. A taxi from the Cathedral was only €5.
