This hotel is the best located for the congress centrum, you just have to cross the street. The breakfast is good, with excellent fresh fruit, unsugared muesli, and fresh orange juice. Coffee/tea lags behind though. They have a rather tasteless buffet lunch for 12 euro, convenient though f you do not have much time and it is raining. The room... More

I was booked into this hotel for a conference and elected to add a few days to my viist. The hotel is all about conferences and large groups. A bit tired around the edges, but otherwise everything functioned properly, wifi a bit wobbly in the room. But for doing the tourist thing in the town, it is really situated too... More

Just leaving Puerta del Camino Hotel...not a good experience. Arriving to the hotel they already discontinue the A/C in the rooms because at this time of the year the temperature should be very low (cold)....key word...should. The temperature during the day was in the upper 70's with the sun hitting our window the whole afternoon. The room was really hot... More

The rooms in this place are massive. The decor in the hotel may look a little dated but it is clean and not tired. The bed was very comfortable with fine white sheets the were made and changed every day of my stay. The room had two double beds and was fitted out in rich wood with the curtains, carpet... More

Having visited Santiago for a 2-day conference, I had no choce in the hotel booking. The Puerta del Camino was the only option the organizers suggested. Surprisingly this was not bad at all - the district where this hotel is located is not the most attractive around Santiago, but 25 minutes of rather relaxed walk to the city center and... More

Stayed here on business, wifi would work in lobby but connecting in room seemed dependant on room location (no joy in my room). Decor dated but rooms absolutely huge! About 10 mins from the old town but only 6-7 Euros in a taxi.

Big rooms. Hotel in art décor style. Very dated furnishings and décor. Bed extremely comfortable and excellent cleaning and room service. Buffet breakfast was slow to refill. We were always waiting for eggs, tomatoes, etc. We didn't like the atmosphere in this hotel. Some reception staff not very helpful and very abrupt. Looks awful from the outside... like a big... Well situated on the No the Bus route (price 1 Euro) to get into the centre of this spectaular and much vcited town The Staff were all very helpful and the food first class. Despite its proximity to the motorway it was very quiet.

Reception staff were quite rude on occasions the young male the biggest offender. Needs a lesson on how to treat his guests and not just shout at them. The rooms were lovely and big and comfortable. My only criticism was that the bathroom area was not shut off by a door. So if you have a husband that likes to... More

I stayed here my first night in Santiago after walking the camino France. I got a room through hotels.com for $80 USD or so. My room was remarkably nice and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Of special note was how comfortable the bed was. My best nights sleep for my camino trek.
