This hotel is simply stunning, from the beginning to the end! Everything is beautiful in it and well planned and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and beautiful and clean. The restaurant is located in the cellar and is fantastic and the food is superb. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had! The hotel... More

What can I say - the oldest hotel in the world on a UNESCO Heritage square overlooking the most famous cathedral in Spain? This is true luxury on every level - the rooms are spacious and comfortable, looking on to private courtyards, the service is impeccable. The cocktails in the lounge were some of the best we have ever had.... More

Located in the main square adjacent to the shrine in the old city. The movement in the square is fascinating both day and night. Arrival of pilgrims at all hours. Concert by “Tuna de Derecho” in the square most nights - absolutely free. Their CD is well worth buying! The hotel is an interesting combination of the historical and the... More

Staying in the parador over the carnival weekend for a special birthday celebration. Really superb! The atmosphere is incredible, stunning! The dining room where we have breakfast is fabulous! A once in a lifetime opportunity and worth every euro.

The majority of the staff are rude and unfriendly and look hostile in their attire. They are trained to reject any request from a guest including looking up train/bus information. The internet was poor and train information difficult to obtain. They suggested for us to physically show up at the train station. The rooms are disgusting with mildew odor. It... More

We spent 3 nights at this Parador and it was a memorable experience. The hotel is a museum itself and very interesting. It made me feel I was in another era. The room was comfortable ant the bathroom was huge with marble floors and shower stall along with a Beautiful stand alone bathtub. The breakfast was delicious. Dinner was served... More

This establishment has so much to offer that it is difficult to know where begin. Let's start with a fabulous location right in the hub of town next to the cathedral. Follow that with a historical building that holds so many stories that you feel like you are part of history. The staff are superb, helpful, cordial and treat you... More

The plaza of the Parador Hostal Dos Reis Catolicos is ALWAYS jumping! From our well-appointed and comfortable room, on the first floor, we were able to watch everyone entering the plaza, having made the pilgrimage to Santiago De Compostela. And, believe me, people are coming in at all hours of the day and night!! The best part is the lone... More

Wow. Just wow. How does one rate the world´s so-called oldest hotel? Can I say wow? A breathtaking hotel, gorgeous rooms, super-attentive staff, a gazillion courtyards, gargoyles, all next to Santiago´s cathedral - I mean, wow.

A week in the Hostal dos Reis Catolicos is a marvelous experience for history lovers and a spiritual one as well. The old Pilgrim's Hospital holds an incredible atmosphere and needs at least a whole day to discover parts of it's historical riches. Besides, service and cuisine, specially galician, are very fine, and the rooms and corridors with antique furnishing are... More
