We stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved it. Its location is ideal, very close to the cathedral and also to the newer part of Santiago. The staff were extremely helpful: they allowed us to have a late check out as we were going to a wedding and we knew we would have a late night. They also... More

Located near the cathedral, it's truly a boutique hotel, with charming rooms (very well decorated, though it lacks a full-body mirror, as my wife was glad to remind me all the time), and a delightful garden. Very ancient building, but completely renovated. Reception desk was attentive and useful, but service at breakfast must seriously improve (no waiter, but you must... More

Dear Customer, Thanks for your comments. We are delighted that your stay at our hotel was so good. It is great that the indications of the reception staff were helpful. We apologize for the incident during breakfast, and try to improve them as soon as possible. Best regards from our staff. More

I didn't stay at this hotel during my time in Santiago de Compostela, but the large group I was traveling with had a noon meal at the restaurant there. I loved the food. Started with tasty caldo, and the main course was perfectly prepared bluefish. The best I've ever had. Service was timely, pleasant, and gracious. We were so comfortable... More

My wife and I recently traveled to N.Spain and spent two nights in Santiago de Compostela at Hotel San Miguel. This is our second stay in the hotel and we were a bit apprehensive about whether the hotel would live up to our expectations given our prior memorable stay. In short this stay met and possibly exceeded our prior stay.... More

Truly amazing value and a first class experience. Rooms were well appointed, modern and extremely comfortable. After travelling for several weeks throughout Europe it was refreshing to stay at the San Miguel and receive a taste of Galician hospitality. We will be back.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. The hotel is situated in the old town on a beautiful little square. The hotel rooms are beautifully appointed and recently renovated. The location is very central and I would recommend the hotel to any traveller but especially to couples. A very romantic place to stay. Everyone on the staff was helpful... More

room, hotel, location, reception all excellent. against our better judgement, based on the uninspired menu, we ate there. microwaved precooked foodwhich wouldhave been tedious even if prperly cooked, served by staff so disinterested it was hard to believe they were alive. the restaurant was empty at 10.30pm. the worst food we have ever eaten in galicia; book the hotel (would... We stayed at the San Miguel in June 2011 after booking a quick and cheap weekend away. The hotel was easy to find and in a great location. Not right in the centre with the tourists but only a 5 minute walk from the catherdral. The hotel was amazing value compared to other places in Spain and of such a... More

We visted this hotel when it was just opened. Rooms are a little small but nicely modern ( wich is nog easy to find in Portugal!) and luxouriusly decorated, marble bathroom, nice view, fantastic bed. But price - quality very good. Unfortunately breakfast was miminal; coffee, piece of bread and by request some fruit...We have made a comment about this... More

I was in Santiago for one night only with my wife and daughter and by luck this was the first hotel I checked that had availability. We were extremely happy with our stay.
