I thought I was booked in another hotel but a well known booking engine let me down so I was directed to this hotel instead. Very good value. Rooms are very small but clean. Location is very central. Service was friendly and efficient. My room had a TV which was a welcome distraction as it was rather wet during my... More

Great value in perfect location very close to Cathedral. Very good service . Rooms are small but this is city centre and close to restaurants and cafés for which Santiago is blessed with a fantastic array of. Tapas bars and cafés were great value . Great city to visit even if not on the Camino . Very relaxed feel even... More

The location of hotel is great, very convenient to explore the historical Santiago but the sleep quality of the hotel in our experience was terrible. When I read previous reviews before booking I underestimated what was said about noise at the rooms, and that was a big mistake ... incredible noisy place, not soundproof at all. It is true that... This hotel is very conveniently located, being close to the centre while being away from the busy streets. A short walk to the Cathedral or restaurants, so pleased to have stayed here. Comfortable and tastefully finished rooms, look forward to staying here again in the future.

The hotel is family run with much care and attention for the pilgrim. the rooms are not incredibly spacious but you hardly notice it since everything else is so pleasant: nicely decorated maintaining the traditional Galego style, well heated, everyone smiling and helpful, no problem of yours is too small to handle. Nicely positioned, two minutes walk to the Cathedral.... More

At first glance, I was happy with this little boutique hotel until I tried to sleep there. The rooms and the hallways have laminate wood floors and no insulation in the doors so when someone comes back to a room next to yours, it sounds as if you are sharing a room. The staff was great and the hotel is... More

I have just written a review explaining how I fled the Husa International in Santiago. I fled to the lovely Hotel Fonte San Roque. A charming little place just off the camino route and close to the Galician Museum. It was exactly what I needed. Quiet, comfortable, good bathroom with aromatherapy products, a desk looking over a leafy courtyard and... More

I arrived at this hotel without any reservation and the transaction was pretty easy without any problems. Within a few minutes I was in my room. The location is good, near the main attractions in the Old Town. My room was on the 2nd floor and apparently there were no elevators. The room was a little bit smaller than I... More

We booked 2 night stay directly with the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our double room was small and had no airconditioning but was clean and comfortable. Bathroom very clean as well. Breakfast is ok-- continental. Free wifi in the reception area. Location is excellent. Very close to Cathedral and other sights. A bit tricky to find if... More

My partner and I stayed at the San Roque after our other plans fell through: the staff speak little English but are extremely friendly and very helpful, and do speak enough to be able to get by. The cleaner/housekeeper is especially lovely - she insisted on talking to us in Spanish even though she knew full well that we were... More
