Very pleasant Staff, clean rooms, nice decor, basic. Things I'm accustomed to (added amenities) are wanting: extra towels, safe, mini-fridge. Lack of air conditioning requires open windows, letting street noise in. 10-minute Walk to the Cathedral of Saint James (Santiago). Lots of quaint, narrow streets with an abundance of restaurants/tapas bars and/or shopping close by. Difficult to find, more difficult... More

This hotel provided us a good base to enjoy the city. It is nothing special, but it is clean and comfortable. A bit noisy late at night outside on the street, so light sleepers be advised. There is no one at the desk after 7 pm, but that was not a problem for us. The biggest problem we had was... More

Just finished the Camino and needed a room. I was booked the following day at Algalia but no room in the inn that day and it was raining. In 5 minutes they had me a room and was even being picked up. Next day I was at the hotel and had a great room but service is limited between 10pm... More

Just finished camino so paid for premium room as a treat. On arrival owner tried to put me in basic room. Had to argue with her via Google translate to try and get room i paid for. Got put in better room but still not room i paid for. Not the end of the camino i wanted. Booked for room... More

Don't let the one star rating of this hotel put you off, it is very traditional and has had a immaculate renovation. Stayed in a double and a triple both were beautifully decorated and had lovely exposed beams, French doors looked out over the street at the back and had a huge tv, only complaint no air con. Free wifi... More

I would have given this four stars, but while taking a shower the temperature kept changing from the temperature I'd set it to freezing cold. It probably had to do with someone else using water at the same time, but for me this just isn't acceptable in a hotel. That said, the room was beautiful and clean, the bed very... More

Initially a tad difficult to find - head for Praca Cervantes & the street runs off there. We were assigned Room 406 - spacious, doors which opened onto a tiny balcony. As mentioned in other posts, the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor - we weren't bothered as we were happy to use the stairs. A good location, close... More

What a find, excellent service , lovely room , quality breakfast at 5 euro and terrific location. Minor grumbles are parking is close but difficult to get to and floors 3and4 are not served by lift which for an aged prop forward with bad knees was a challenge.A lovely boutique hotel that represents some of the best value for money... A beautiful wee hotel which I can highly recommend. It was once an 18th century house and has been restored to a very high standard. Behind the reception area is a cosy lounge area with TV and computer. The free wi-fi worked great in the bedroom. There is interesting and original stonework in the building. In the basement there is... More

A great small hotel in a good location for the historic centre of Santiago. The staff were very welcoming and helpful with advice on local attractions, and thanks Martha for the parking info! We had a superior room on the second floor; very comfortable, with good free wi-fi access, quiet and bright and sunny in the morning. The location is... More
