We stayed at the Hesperia earlier this month during a business trip to A Coruña. The staff, while no one was fluent in English, were very helpful (my Spanish is very beginner). My room was lux and spacious enough to feel comfortable in. And I really liked how in the afternoons, gummies and Cava were placed in reception to enjoy.... more
We stayed in a family room at the Finisterre. Usually this means two interconnectiong rooms, which allows plenty of space for three young children. At the Finisterre, it was more like a suite so the childrens room was smaller and the youngest had to be put up in a make shift bed on the sofa. It all worked fine though.... more
In October my wife and I spent a week at the Finisterre, staying in a junior suite. The room was really nice - spacious, comfortable and elegant. We had a large bedroom, a big sitting room with sofa and desk, a dressing room, a small area with a wash basin and another with a bath and toilet. My wife thought... more
We stayed four nights here with two teenage children. The rooms were slightly small and the hotel was quite ugly from the outside. Apart from that we found it pretty good. The bed rooms got hot for some reason - the weather was dire - and we had to use the air conditioning. The restaurant had a splendid view and... more
I'm not sure this hotel merits its 5 stars, but overall it was reasonable value by UK standards. It has a great location, on the waterfront and next to the heart of the old town (where there was a medieval market every night when we were there). As others have reported it does lack atmosphere and warmth from the staff.... more
The poor ambience of the public areas let this hotel down. My wife and I stayed at the Hesperia Finisterre for three nights, Monday-Wednesday 24-26 October 2005, in a junior suite at EUR 135 + 7% tax. Check-in was mildly chaotic, with the receptionist trying to serve three guests at once. Valet parking was quick and efficient, as was porterage.... more
Great location - on the waterfront and within minutes to the historic centre, beautiful décor, fantastic breakfast room with views all around the harbour, and stylish bedroom. Staff don´t speak much English which didn´t bother us. That´s part of the experience. Only downside is that the pool area looked like a 1970s English summer swimming baths (a lot of concrete... more
If in A Coruna then stay at the Finisterre. Apart from its wonderful location looking out onto the waters of A Coruna this hotel has an arrangement with the local populace to share its sporting facilities. Within a secure area there are a couple of large swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnasium, pools for children, adventure playground, bar and food facilities... more
