Sitges is a rather relaxed place, however finding good hotels, in a great location which takes dogs is a challenge. The Santa Maria hits ticks those boxes. Well positioned on the sea front and within easy walking distance of the centre. The dogs are welcome on the terrace. There is a charge per night but it is reasonable.

Our first stay is Sitges was a blast. We stayed here with friends, who recommended it to us. However, the name on the street sign does best describe the venue. It's a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel proper. The restaurant was busy every day, lunch & dinner. With customers queuing to get a table on several occasions. We... More

Friendly family hotel in a perfect location. I have stayed here many times over 15 year period. Bedrooms do vary in quality and size. I always book facing the sea with balcony. Can sit for hours people watching from the balcony gazing out to the relaxing sea. Restaurant is good and very busy, service can sometimes be functional. Good value... More

This hotel has a PERFECT location, and I mean PERFECT! We have been eating in this fabolous restaurant for 30 years but never stayed at the hotel. This time we chose to stay here only because it is in the middle of everything. For 10 days we enjoyed the hotel. The room....well, what can I say. The view was terrible... More

We spent a very comfortable night here with a room and balcony overlooking the beach. The location is excellent with close proximity to numerous bars, restaurants and shops. Breakfast was very good, and we ate on the terrace overlooking the beach.

I will start with the pro (yes, the one and only pro): the location is perfect. The hotel is located right across the beach; you literally have to cross the street and you are by the sea. It is extremely convenient. Now to the cons. Me and my mom stayed at the hotel for three nights. On day 1, we... More

I have stayed here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. It is an old-fashioned family-run hotel on the sea front with a great restaurant. Some of the rear rooms have enormous balconies. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is plentiful. I thoroughly recommend it.

Excelent location, just by the beach and very close to the nicest bars and restaurants in Sitges. Walking distance to the train or bus station which can takes us very fast to the airport ( 20 min) or bacelona (placa d'espana - 45 min) Spacios rooms. The only negative point is the smell of food in the hotel lobby since... More

We've gotten in the habit of returning to the states from a European adventure through Barcelona because of Sitges and La Santa Maria. We were first drawn to the hotel by the wonderful location on the beach and walking path and a block from the main pedestrian way; we return because of the great treatment we get. The staff is... We got a large room at the front of level 3, with no balcony, but I think all rooms are a little different. It is a basic Spanish seaside hotel with integrated restaurant on the street level. The good features: Friendly service, RIGHT on the beach, close to restaurants, big room (ours had a entrance foyer!!), free WiFi, value for... More
