Once the owners of the Celimar Playa invest in a renovation, this small hotel in the dead-center of the Sitges beach promenade (and inner streets full of shops/nightlife) will be a hot spot. Unfortunately, the hotel currently operates with the rooms, bed linens and bathrooms that are worn, sandy, dirty, humid. Thankfully, the individual air conditioner in the room worked... More

I guess some people are prone to negativity, judging by a lot of the negative reviews for this hotel. After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned about having selected this hotel, but now that we're here, after 2 nights, I can say that the place is really nice. The staff has been very helpful and nice. The location... More

When we booked the hotel, due to a big convention in town, it was one of only two options in the city. We opted for this one as it was right on the beach. All I can say is that it was OK. We didn't spend much time in the room or the hotel except to sleep. The room was... More

Stayed for 10 nights and chose this Hotel as our usual Hotel was fully booked. On arrival was greeted, placed into a small shaky lift and introduced to our "upgraded" triple room, which we found to be very small especially if you were hoping to share the experience with a third person. Room was clean and cleaned promptly every day... More

Nice position on the beach front, the rooms on the website at the front of the hotel with view appear OK, however the rooms at the back of the hotel are very small, dark and dreary. There is no Internet in the rooms, you have to sit in the bar downstairs to use a computer. The most uncomfortable aspect of this... More

I'm quite shocked by the negative reviews of this hotel. My mother and I stayed here last week and were more than satisfied. We stayed in the suite on the top floor, which had both a bathroom with a shower and a huge jacuzzi tub. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect - right on the... This was our 5th annual holiday in Sitges and up to now have always stayed at the lovely Calipolis Hotel. On this occasion we decided to have a change and stayed at the Celimar,a good tip is to reconfirm your booking with the hotel a day in advance before travelling as you may end up in the Celimar central in town.... Just a BIG warning to travelers to Sitges! We booked an beach front suite at Hotel Celimar PLAYA for TWO weeks. When we arrived by cab, they informed us they were overbooked and moved us to their other location Hotel Celimar CENTRAL. We were furious because we had just confirmed our reservation prior to leaving the U.S. and were assured... More

We stayed on the top floor of the Celimar Playa in their "suite", This was a nice sized double room, shower room with toilet and a large jucuzzi/hot-tub room with a skylight directly above it, very romantic! The balcony is completely private and quite large, although it has high walls which you have to peek through to see the amazing... More
