Situated in the heart of Girona. It's like being a guest in someone's home. Beautiful china at the breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean and well priced; not a "budget hotel". But priced like one, particularly if you don't mind sharing a bath. Private bath is a bit more. It's a little hard to find with GPS. Call and get directions.

The Bellmirall was a great find, excellent location and good value. Plain and simple but clean. Breakfast very very good, lovely and fresh, great garden. The bells are noisy but atmospheric, if you're a light sleeper earplugs might be a good idea! And beware of mosquitos, being on a river, Girona has many, so an electronic zapper is a good... More

Stayed for two nights in October. Last time we stayed over in Girona we went to the Hotel Historic which is directly opposite the Bellmirall, and the two have much in common - comfortable rooms set in ancient buildings. We arrived and checked in efficiently, our room was on the first floor and whilst it was a short trip across... More

what a wonderful city this is. Girona is both beautiful and welcoming. This hotel is set in wonderful cobbled streets, next to a breathtaking cathedral. The hotel is in the ancient jewish quarter , and is located on the upper side of the city which means lots of steps and climbing uphill. The rooms are clean , the beds comfortable.... More

Throughly enjoyed the decor of this small pension. The location was great for sightseeing but difficult for parking. We parked in a public lot and took a taxi to the hotel. We were relieved when the same driver returned because we were not sure of the lot location. Since our room was near the Cathederal the bells rang all night.... More

Lovely old building behind the Cathederal in an impossible location to find with GPS. We parked in a public lot after searching for an hour. We left the car and hired a taxi both ways. The location was grand. There is a small art gallery in the living area with paintings by artist owner. Church bells rang all night.

This is a very old, beautiful building. Situated in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Gerona. The hotel is at the top of the hill so to get anywhere you have to go down, which is okay but it is always a long climb back afterwards. There were just a few small things that ruined an otherwise lovely experience.... More

What a beautiful little hotel. Character oozes from every room and the courtyard is just delightful. With two adults and two young children we only stayed here for one night after getting off the 20:00 TGV, unfortunately for only one night. It is right near the Cathedral, very close to restaurants that spill out into the myriad of lane ways,... More

We journeyed to Girona for a five day break as a follow-on to our previous visit to Barcelona - and what a contrast! Girona is compact and life in the old town proceeds at a more graceful pace. Rarely have we found such well kept and sympathetically restored historical sights all within a short walking distance, albeit with many steps... More

If you are visiting Girona the chances are that it's for a taste of the city's medieval architecture and its rich culture. If so, I doubt you can find a place that is better located and has more "feel" for that than the Bellmirall. It is in the absolute heart of the old city, just a few steps from the... More
