Thank you to Jordi and Oriol for their exceptional service during our visit a week ago. They made our stay exceptional. The room and shower were perfect! Girona is so charming, just an hour north of Barcelona and certainly worth a day or two trip! Great location!

We stayed here because our favourite hotel, the Carlemany, was undergoing refurbishment. Never again! Breakfast is meant to be served until 10.30am weekdays: arriving in the breakfast room at 10.22am we were made distinctly unwelcome, both members of staff separately and frostily telling us that service stopped in 5 minutes. and at 10.40am we were approached at our table and... I chose the Gran Ultonia mainly for its location, which is perfect, one block away from the Plaza de la Independencia, Girona's ground zero of its tourist area. From there, it's only a few minutes walk across a pedestrian bridge to the old, historic city centre. It is also about a five minute walk away from a dozen or so... More

The Gran Ultonia is ideally placed for the main town area. You can walk anywhere in Girona from this hotel, don't get a car unless you have to. There is a local bus from the airport to Girona Station, very low cost (get a return ticket if you are going back the same way) then a short taxi ride to... More

People we met in Priorat recommended this hotel, and we were not disappointed. The hotel has secure parking and is just a few blocks from a major square with lots of restaurants and a bridge across the river to the old city. Our room was lovely, very modern and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was... More

A superb hotel in a great location. Rooms were great, clean and modern. The hotel is just a short walk to the main square with a host of restaurants and night life. The hotel is also a good base for the train station which is only a short walk away.

Stayed in the 4*, everything prefect. €19 per person for breakfast seemed a bit much, so turned left out of the front door, crossed the road after 100m and there's a nice bakery /coffee shop (yellow/Brown frontage), freshly squeezed orange , nice coffees, will do take away and even gives away free balloons to children. Hotel is in a great... More

Very pleasant stay. Modern, clean and quiet room. Staff were kind and helpful. It is very close to central areas, business, restaurants and shopping. Beware of the underground parking, might be tricky with a large car.

We booked this hotel during the Flower Festival, and it was perfectly placed. We had booked 3 nights, but didn't use it for eating in as it was so close to lots of cafes for breakfast. Ten minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes walk from the main square where there are plenty of restaurants and over the bridges... More

I stayed there in November 2014. Hotel ok, room ok, but my room overlooked a side street and nightclub, which was extremely noisy, despite tightly closed windows and curtains, and ear plugs, with patrons queuing to get in, and patrons leaving, nonstop from 11pm to 5am, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I complained several times, but the hotel staff couldn't do... More
