Recently Stayed with my parents n husband in the penthouse apartment no 11. No real fault with the apartment. But we did have a break in. Were robbed of 350 euros. That too whilst we were sleeping in the apartment. Suspect entered through terrace door. Tried to break into other apartments too. There was a full blown police chase as... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apt (no 10) facing the back. The apartment was ideal as we needed accommodation for us 2 and a room for my partner's grown up daughter who stayed with us for a night, so we had separate bathrooms. A very up to date apartment with everything inc Wifi. The guy on reception was extremely... More

We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit in June, 2014. There were 2 couples sharing. It was clean and the amenities within the unit were exactly what we needed (2 bathrooms, balcony, air conditionining, kitchen, stovetop, microwave, espresso maker, refrigerator). It was close to a couple of small grocers (within 3 blocks) and clearly bars galore. The staff were superb. The... More

Spend a couple of days in january, and really liked it. Got a big apartment, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, large sittingroom, good kitchen and a balcony. There was a bit of streetnoise at night, but my apartment was on the 5th. floor, facing the back, which is some ok backyards btw., som i was not very bothered. Beds... More

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment for 3 nights for a hen weekend. There were 5 of us staying there and we thought it was perfect for what we wanted it for. We bought our own breakfast supplies and the kitchen was perfectly functional. I had a double bed with en-suite and our window was facing the street. I... More

Despite the great location, excellent staff, cleanliness and ease of booking, I do not recommend this apartment. It is pokey and full of huge furniture but has nowhere to store suitcases, and barely enough room for anything. The bed we had was way past its use by date and creaked and was soggy on one side. The curtains were old... More

The service from the letting company was excellent and the flat Caputxins was of a high quality internally a major downside is the location of the property or really the 3 night clubs opposite (Queen Vic, Jerusalem and another club but through lack of sleep the name escpaes me) that appear harmless during the day posing as restaurants but this... We stayed at the apartments for five nights between Christmas and New Years. First the good--the apartment itself was nice with two bedrooms and two baths. It is clean and fairly modern with a compact kitchen that is great for breakfast and simple dinners but with only two burners and no oven you should not get too ambitious. It is... More

I arranged for a girls weekend to Barcelona and I'm so glad we chose the Caputxins as our base. Six of us shared the apartment, and there's plenty of space, great kitchen and balcony. All of the furniture, decor and equipment is very new and modern. There are 2 bathrooms with powerful showers. Though do watch the hot water if... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
