I wouldn't exactly say am an intrepid and rugged explorer, however, I have been off the beaten track. Therefore, I would class myself as knowing what a true hostel is, and what this is. When I think of a hostel, it is close knit and personal. There is a high degree mixing and social interaction. This place was more like... More

This is probably the best and the cheap place to be in barcelona if we know that spending time outside the house is more important. A nice breakfast, amazing service, Wi-Fi, Lockers, nice people to guide you and other things that you can expect. Simply the best hostel.

I've been to my share of hostels. None of them have been as clean and feel as safe as this one. Mind you, I'm in my 30s and have become much more discriminatory with choices of hostels. They gave everyone a digital watch-like device to open the door and the lockers. The lockers were sturdy and a good size. We... More

It is a great place if you are a backpacker. We visited in the weekend for 2 nights. The guy in the reception is exceptionally good host I would say, he will make you comfortable just by talking to you and he will explain you all the places in Map which was really helpful and you wouldn't complain about soap... The Hostel is in a quieter Area of Barcelona. But everything is in walking distance. I stayed in a 4 Person Room. It was clean but not too big. Breakfast gets the job done but nothing special. Overall a good value Hostel!

I originally booked this hotel because of the great reviews that I had read and of course the free breakfast was a bonus. I stayed here for 4 days and overall had a great experience. The staff was friendly and spoke great english. The breakfast had a bit to be desired, but if you enjoy bread and jam then you're... More

My only regrets is that the bedsheets where nt very clean and the wifi just work about 5 minutes a day. But the good points is the breakfast even if it is a little early when you go out to enjoy the night life in barcelona. The location is perfect the hostel is very nice and the staff is very... More

It was our first time staying in a hostel and we absolutely had an awesome experience and we want to go back to Barcelona (what a city!!) and stay here again and again. Everyone was so friendly and we meet so much people from all over the world. It was awesome!

Really enjoyed my time at this Hostel, great people, nice staff and ideal facilities. Great morning breakfast, good value for your location and close to most things you'd need (and if not you're just next to the subway station Paral.lel!). The kitchen is great and well-equipped for those wanting to cook meals or have a quick snack, like the public... More

This hostel was fine for a few days. The rooms felt a little small and old but were comfortable enough. The bathrooms were kept relatively clean. The hostel was an interesting security system with wristwatches that act as your key. The staff were hit and miss - some were very friendly and others just seemed like they were doing their... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
