Elizabeth and Tony simply could not do enough for us. From helpful suggestions on where to eat to suggestions on which bus or metro to catch. And Elizabeth is very knowledgeable about art galleries. Breakfast was excellent. Everything about the Patio from attention to detail, the comfort of the rooms, simply a warm welcoming atmosphere. Outstanding.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a lovely stay at the Patio, Barcelona. The B&B is located just outside the central area of Barcelona, with every attraction within a 10 / 15 min metro ride away. Placed in a quiet neighbourhood, we both felt very safe and at home. Tony and Liz are the owners, we only had... More

This was our first visit to Barcelona. I was traveling with my two daughters and a little apprehensive about it. The trip got off to a rough start with my daughter's flight being canceled (we were all flying from different locations). But Tony was so accommodating, he offered to pick up my daughter the following morning at 6:45AM. After my... More

We had a wonderful three night stay in Barcelona. We have stayed in a number of noisy Barcelona hostels and hotels, but this B&B is incredibly quiet. Liz was lovely and very helpful recommending things to see, do, and eat. We loved our dinner on the first night at a place Liz and Tony recommended called Bassy (right down the... More

We have just returned from Barcelona, and the wonderful stay we had at The Patio. We stayed at The Flat, a separate, self-catering apartment that the owners have available, and which is situated just around the corner from the main B&B. While Liz and Tony, the hosts, were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, we wanted to experience Barcelona as though we... More

Very convenient spacious accomodation close to public transport. Comfortable beds. Been back 5 times. Most pleasant stay. Tony and Elizabeth have recently upgraded the furniture in the flat. Close to Entenca station. .

We stayed for three nights, and although the location really is not near anything of note, it was nice and quiet and very near the metro. The family lives right next door and is very very available for any questions. The room is suitable, although there was only one outlet for charging the various gadgets we had. I was questioned... My third stay at the Bed and Breakfast. Every time I'm struck by their generosity. They offer good and plentiful information, a nice breakfast and fun conversation. Good location for transportation and nearby eateries. I'll return again.

We came to Barcelona for a short trip and stayed at the Patio. What a great place. Quiet, very tidy and comfortable. Tony and Liz went out of their way to help and make suggestions for where to go and places to eat. I can highly recommend the Patio. Thank you Tony and Liz!

My husband and I stayed here in August and liked it very much. It is owned by a nice couple, a British lady and her Husband who is a native of Barcelona. It was clean, quiet, and pleasant. We had a nice room. The breakfast was decent, better than in most other places that we stayed at during this trip.... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
