Perfect B&B in Barcelona! This is a private 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, dining/living room apartment across the hall from Elizabeth and Tony, who are the owners and are fabulous hosts! Walking home to the secure building made us feel like locals. Safe neighborhood and good location for walking to the highlights of Barcelona. The apartment has its own entrance. We,... More

I have just spent a weekend in Barcelona with my boyfriend ( Christmas present from my Aunt who has been several times). The Patio is really nice, It's very peaceful - not like being in the middle of a city at all. Our room was quite big and we felt very at home. The breakfast was served in the lovely... More

Liz and Tony were very gracious hosts. We felt as though we were guests in their home. Liz gave us very helpful hints on places to visit and restaurants to try. The breakfast was very nice with the freshest of fruit. Tony got up very early to drive us to the airport the morning we left. We even celebrated my... More

The Patio is ideally situated with the Metro across the road. It is a hidden gem away from the bustle of the Main Street. The interior is an interesting mix of period and contemporary. The owners, Liz and Tony, were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and eat. There are two quiet outdoor sitting areas ideal for relaxing after... More

That is what I asked myself while staying there. When my sister and I arrived, Tony met us at the door—good thing because it is a walk down the hall and then a walk down a “patio”/outside walkway (he explained there is a light with a timer to turn on at night—problem was—it did not stay on long enough so... We are very sorry that your two night stay in The Patio was not satisfactory. We are recommended for friendliness, cleanliness and comfort, which have always been our priorities. We have been running this business for 15 years and this is the first time anyone has found the walk from the front door a problem - or the lights not staying... More

A fabulous stay had by all, we were 2 couples and thoroughly loved The Patio. Liz was a perfect host and was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were collected at the airport and received a warm welcomed from Liz. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and just lovely, so close to many places such as the Metro,... More

Location perfect with the Metro right opposite. It was a real Sanctuary after busy days sightseeing in the City. Liz and Tony were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely local bars and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was gorgeous with such a variety. With only two bedrooms and one bathroom would recommend you book with another couple... More

We had never been to Barcelona before and stayed for 5 nights in September. Everything was perfect - from the spacious room with lots of storage, to the quiet neighborhood with excellent Metro access, to the incredible breakfast with fresh fruit and Elizabeth's amazing coffee. The husband and wife team of Tony and anticipated every need - from being tour... More

We stayed here on the recommendation of our innkeepers in Devonport, New Zealand, and they really got it right! Liz welcomed us with enthusiasm, interest, and helpfulness throughout our visit. We'd been a little anxious about how to get the most out of our brief stay in Barcelona, but we felt so comfortable with Liz' suggestions for restaurants and things... More

Liz and Tony are very kind, flexible and easy going. We could check in early and leave late. This Flat was perfect for quality family time. We had all our breakfast and dinners there,, just to enjoy being the four of us. Very convenient location for a touristic stay. Beds are comfortables, wifi is good and all rooms have plenty... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
