Liz and Tonys Patio is warm and welcoming. Liz is always there to help. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood and very close to the Entenca Metro station. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Patio!

The localization of The Patio is perfect - in a quiet and peaceful area near center of Barcelona. The metro station (Entenca) is just across the street. And the nearest attractions of Barcelona are about 15-20 minutes walk from The Patio (Placa d’Espanya, Magic Fountain of Montjuic, Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya...). So it’s a great starting point to tour... More

Have just had a great 4 nights in Barcelona. I had never been before so the information that I got from the hosts ( Liz /British and Tony /Spanish) was really helpful. We had some good dinners at several different restaurants very close to the bed and breakfast which seem to be much more reasonable than in touristy places. There... More

Having stayed with Liz and Tony in 2012 had no hesitation in booking The Patio B & B again this year in May. Everything about this lovely accommodation is exceptional, from the pickup at the airport after a long flight from Australia to the dropoff at the cruise terminal they arranged for us, there was nothing more Liz and Tony... I recently stayed at the patio and would highly recommend it, not far from the sants station it's a lovely little individual place which is really homely, nice room and nice bathroom. Although the main selling point is Liz and Tony the owners :) I was travelling alone and my first time in Barcelona, Liz could not have been any... More

On my third visit to Barcelona, I had no doubt when it came to choose accomodation. The Sonar music festival was good, but the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness in The Patio was more than great! Here are a couple of pictures I took while enjoying both the lovely patio downstairs and the huge and beautiful terrace upstairs.

We loved the Patio! Tony and Liz were wonderful and the rooms were very quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts were continental, with lovely fruit and pastry, and Liz made us hard boiled eggs so we could get our morning protein. Thanks Liz!! The beds were comfortable for us, as we like our mattresses very firm. If you like soft mattresses,... More

My friend and I rented The Flat for our week's stay in Barcelona. The apartment was lovely - clean, well-equipped and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. There were many shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the nearest metro station was just two blocks away. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. They gave us helpful... Great B&B. Liz and Tony accommodated our special dietary needs for breakfast. Stayed there with our daughter an son-in-law. Good location. Great restaurants nearby. Do not miss Euro 35 tasting menu (incl wine) at La Lubina down the block. Incredible deal.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
