My husband and I stayed at The Patio a few years ago and enjoyed our stay so much we didn't think twice about booking again when we made plans to return. We were really lucky with the weather in Barcelona, unbelievably warm for November and it's a great time to visit when the city isn't saturated with tourists. The Patio... More

The Patio is just across the street from a metro station and only a few blocks from the train station in Barcelona. Even though it is not in the middle of the tourist "La Rambla" area you can access everything by metro and it's within walking distance of several sites. The neighborhood and B&B are very quiet and peaceful. Our... More

Liz and Tony - many thanks for our recent stay at your B&B. We thoroughly our short break in Barcelona, and The Patio was like a home from home. Transport to and from the airport was arranged for us and we were made to feel really welcome. Excellent breakfast and clean, well-appointed rooms. We can thoroughly recommend The Patio.

We stayed at The Patio B&B after a hectic flight from Miami and late arrival in Barcelona. The owners were very accommodating and helpful from picking us up at the airport so we wouldn't have to find the B&B late at night and arranging transportation to the cruise ship terminal after our stay. The owners are very friendly and they... More

I've just spent a wonderful 5 night break in The Flat with my family. We arrived late so Tony arranged to pick us up at the. Airport, which meant we were fresh and relaxed for an early start the next morning. The apartment was ideal for us as it has 4 bedrooms which meant each of my children could have... More

Just got back from Barcelona where we stayed at The Patio which was recommended by a friend and it lived up to our high expectations. Beautiful room with comfortable bed, and so quiet. Nice hot shower, yummy breakfast including fresh fruit salad. All very clean and full of lovely furniture, pictures and ornaments. Liz who runs it has lived in... More

Here with friends and we've enjoyed an excellent standard of accommodation at the Patio. Liz and Tony have provided us with a home from home. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining area filled with antiques to admire and set us up for the day. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and the combination of double bed and twin was perfect... My wife and I stayed in The Patio for three nights in September this year. We were disappointed with the service provided by the hosts. First, on our arrival, expecting to be accommodated in a double room , we were told we would be in the room containing two single beds .(As shown in the photo above) When we questioned... More

Tucked away in an inner courtyard that provides privacy, security and quiet, this lovingly restored home makes you feel like you've left the city behind. Once you leave the street and enter the courtyard through two security doors, the next 100 feet takes you along a tiled pathway to the flower-decorated entrance to this intriguing, cozy, comfortable B&B. The architecture... More

Liz and Tony are really the perfect hosts, bending over backward to accommodate special requests. Stayed there for 5 nights while attending congress at Grand Fira. Good access if you don't mind a little walk to Plaza Espanya, otherwise take tube outside the B&B and change twice. What a peaceful place in the middle of busy Barcelona. Unfortunately there's never... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
