Given Barcelona rather inflated accomodation prices, the Downtown Paraiso is truly THE place where every single penny you spend is bloody well worthy. Staff is fantastic, especially one of the young receptionists (Mari? :-). But all of them are actually great, friendly and always enthusiasthic. We've stayed in various hostels before and I was really pleasantly suprised when we entered the hostel. The exterior gave no indication to the well thought out, funky interior. It was super clean and tidy. The hostel is on the second floor and takes up one floor of a large building. It's just of The Ramblas which made it great... more
