I actually rented an apartment in the Gothic District, it was so loud I checked out after one night and checked in here! Very quiet, clean the staff was extremely nice & helpful! Breakfast was Delish! Great stay, rooms are small but foe Europe that's pretty normal!

Stayed here whilst visiting the F1 Grand Prix and was perfect for our needs. Hotel is located just a few minutes from Ramblas and other major sites. The street outside is buzzing with people but very limited traffic and the nights we were there we didn't come back to the hotel at night and noticed it was noisy. The hotel... More

Room was clean, hotel staff was nice. (Coffee machine in the lobby was perfect for my husband who cant stand the tiney little cafe americanos passing as a FULL cup of coffee). Rooms surprised us in size considering what we paid, and location was ideal! Only downfall is noise. But we were so tired from our days we had no... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and picked the hotel purely on location and price. We found the hotel to be quite spartan, but very functional and certainly well worth the price. The overall impression is very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. Breakfast was OK. Our room did not face the street so we didn't have... More

I think the choice of hotel all depends on who you go with and for what reason. I visited this hotel with one of my sons and a group of male friends to watch our team play FC Barcelona. We picked the hotel because of its location which is great. Considering we were only in the hotel to sleep and... More

Good little hotel in a good location, with lots of cool urban and vintage shops near by. Found some great more local style places to eat round there too, not over priced. Staff were friendly, rooms basic but clean and Wi Fi was a bit slow but fine. However... If like us you book a room for the draw of... More

Visited this hotel April 2015 as we could not get in at our first choice. Great location for all sights however the noise outside if you are facing the street is very loud. There are about three bars right outside the hotel with noise levels continuing till well after three A.M. The hotel was good value for money but quite... More

The hotel has a great location, only 400m from the Ranblas and near placa Catalunya and placa Universidad. But it's also located at a little square with qiute some noise in the evenings and nights. When you have a room on the front( street) this is very annoying. The breakfast is oke. The room is not cleaned very thoroughly, after... More

We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter. The location is perfect- we rarely had to get public transport and just walked to the Gothic Quarter when we went out at night. We arrived early and were given our room at 12.30pm which was much appreciated. We had a first floor room street facing with a balcony. I'll admit there... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
