My husband and I recently stayed at Ana's Guesthouse before and after our Western Mediterranean Cruise. Ana and her daughter, Natalie were absolute gems and perfect hosts. They made us feel like we had just come home! We stayed in the Suite on the first level and Room #7 that is located off of the kitchen sitting area. Both had... More

Great location on the main Av. Diagonal in Eixample area - very close to the Metro, and to the major Gaudi sights; multiple cafes and restaurants all around. Located in an old building on the 2nd level - it's an easy walk up (there is also an elevator). Ana owns the 6 unit B&B but Natalie, her daughter, was the... More

Our stay at ana's guest house exceeded all our expectations. The room was clean and spacious. Fitted with an air conditioner, TV, safe to put valuables in, central location are a few things to mention. It's right opposite the metro station and there is a bus stop right opposite as well. They even left a note for me at the... More

Ana's Guest House is centrally located in the great city of Barcelona Spain; just a few blocks away from La Sagrada Familia. We first stayed with Ana and her daughter Natalie in 2010 prior to embarking on a cruise. This time around we finished our cruise in Barcelona and decided to spend a few extra days visiting the city. From... More

Everything about this Bed & Breakfast is perfect. Ana and her daughter run the b&b, and they are both sooooo welcoming & so kind! They make you feel at home the second you walk through the door. The rooms are cozy, spacious, and extremely clean; same with the bathroom. The rest of the b&b is beautiful! Ana & her daughter... More

Ana and Natalie go all the way to make your stay enjoyable. They can assist with taxi service to and from the airport. Breakfast is excellent. The guest house is in a great location. We highly recommend. If and when we return to Barcelona this is the place to stay.

We spent 4 delightful nights with Ana and her daughter Natalie while becoming acquainted with the lively city of Barcelona. The building was once a private home and had lovely features reflecting the era in which it was built. The breakfasts were very good -- fruit, yogurt, assorted breads and cereals, which is exactly how we usually eat at home.... More

My adult children (ages 18 and 21) and I spent a fabulous 9 days (March 20-28) in Barcelona. We stayed in Ana's recently renovated "apartment" on the first floor which had two large rooms separated by a pocket door and a modern bathroom with shower. Natalie, Ana's daughter, was more than accommodating as our needs changed during the week. We... More

I stayed for 3 nights in bedroom four on 6th floor with my daughter and it was terrific. Better than a hotel because Goncales has plenty of tips for where to go and what to do. Fantastic spot, right opposite the metro and buses, close to the old city but in a great part of town too. Plenty of tapas... More

At the outset, I should say that this was the first stop on our honeymoon. I have been to Europe (Spain, specifically) once before in college, and my wife has never been. We arrived in Barcelona around midday; Ana's was about a 20 minute cab ride (not too expensive) from the airport. Ana was there to greet us. She is... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
