Good location. You can walk to the beach, Ramblas, pasaje de Gracia, Sagrada Familia, La Catedral etc, The metro station Marina (red line 1) very close too. Kind and helpful staff. Especially Beatriz. She is really nice. Quiet and cosy place. Beautiful view from the swimming-pool A.

We were impressed with everything about this place. Check in was a breeze with very efficient and friendly staff. Rooms were minimally decorated and had centrally controlled cooling. Although we didn't use the kitchen, it would have been great if we were staying for a longer period. Best of all is access to the roof terrace and pool. Wonderful to... More

My partner and i stayed at Melon District for 5 nights. It was great- about a 10 minute walk to La Rambla, a 2 minute walk to the metro, the bus taking you straight to and from the airport is a 7 min walk, many cafes and mini supermarkets all around. The wifi was fast and the bed very comfy.... More

this little hotel was one of my best findings in Europe. The staff is very kind, the room was very clean , clear, not that big but it was ok comparing to other places i've been, and the price was very comfortable! Easy to find, close to the metro and even from the bus that brings you and takes you... More

This hotel may at first seem to be in the middle of nowhere. There is quite a bit of construction around so that may change. It is shockingly close to the city park and the gothic district and right by the metro. Our room was large enough for a couch, desk and a kitchen. Everything was clean and orderly. We... More

Although we arrived at night, we had no difficulty checking in. The room was small but it did have a window and the bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi and the lift worked and the bathroom was clean. There was a kitchenette but we didn't use it. The staff were kind and helpful and all could speak good English. Out-of-season, no... More

The reception staff was fantastic, and helped us far beyond our expectations. They were always smiling, and gave us the best of tips on what to explore in the city. The two cute girls that work during the daytime were escpecially helpful. Rooms are small, but spacious. A little downside is that the rooms were not cleaned free of charge,... More

This accomodation was a great base to stay, its not in the middle of Barcelona, its not too far away stations, bus stops and about 15 mins walk to the bottom of Las Ramblas. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It is a secure and pleasant place, the room was small and cosy, no frills and unnecessary stuff in... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
