Good enough, rooms clean and easy. Free fast Wifi!. Probably best for short stays. The location was good for me, but isn't right in the centre. Quite good for university and many contemporary art museums. Kitchen was handy as I worked late and too tired to eat out every night. Cleanliness of kitchens very much reliant on behaviour of other... More

There is really nothing to complain regarding service, location or anything overall. Rooms maybe a little smaller, but since you will doing lots of sightseeing, there is no need for more space. Hotel was quiet and very cosy. Maybe there is a little bit more noise, but we did not mind. Place was secure and fairly new with good transport... More

Clean and basic accommodation at a good price perfect for young travellers would not recommend staying here for more than two nights. There are some small places nearby by breakfast if needed. Good location to go sightseeing too with good links to all the main attractions.

Average Student small rooms closed to Ramblas and BCN port. Subway Poble sec just in the corner of the street. Shared kitchen (need a card to open the door when the system works !!) Pool quite shallow, don't go head first or you ll end up searching to fix your skull!. Nice friendly personal. One room smell badly mold and... More

This is a good value basic hotel. I took the advice of a previous review and requested a quiet room at the back on booking and got what I requested. I also recommend this advice. The room is adequate with open storage, TV, free wi-fi and excellent shower. In the room I got you couldn't enter the bed from the... More

Location: We loved how the location was close to everything. Not that close but transportation was never an issue while we were in Barcelona and good places to eat are around the residencia as well. Rooms: We had a double room. It was very cramped - and we are medium-built Asians (tiny). Also, they dont have free daily room service,... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
