Just arrived. Horrible hot, poky room with tiny window overlooking air conditioning units. Where is the balcony & view we were promised? Receptionist not interested & reviewed to move us. Could not be more disappointed. Location is good - we will not be spending time here!

Sunotel Central was a very convenient, clean and exceptionally friendly spot. The staff were very helpful and informative, the rooms clean, well appointed and the location is really good for both Pl. de Catalunya, La Rambla and the metro. Good food, shopping, etc. nearby and it was a very pleasant stay for us on two occasions.

The hotel has amazing reception staff , will do anything to help you , the room it's self was quite small but very clean and looked after, the bathroom is also small but the shower was amazing! The bed as a lot of people said is quite hard and you will need to ask reception for more pillows. The location... More

The hotel is very near plaza cataluñya and the old city center. It is well served by subway and bus. Very small rooms, small bathroom. No additional pillows, unefficient roommate make the hotel at least 2 or 3 stars category. Prices are for 4 stars category. I think you can find something better at better price.

The hotel staff were very helpful and gracious, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We selected a room facing the street so that we could have a balcony, which worked for us. This big city keeps late nights, so there was street noise. If you think that might keep you awake, you can select a room at the back of... More

The staff here are fantastic, so so helpful and friendly, the location is perfect, the hot tub and pool are clean, well serviced, and so welcome after walking about all day. A perfect hotel at a fantastic price, I will recommend to friends and definitely return.

Far from a 4 star hotel !Rooms where small and pokey. Roof of hotel was closed over with a plastic covering so when you opened your window no air came in. Air conditioning was poor. Breakfast was very poor and cold and waiting staff very rude. No stopper for bath pillows where thin and bed uncomfortable. Only for we stayed... More

Advertised as 4 star, I suggest 1 to 2 star at most. Everything needed was there but only to the most minimum standard. For example; poor lighting in the room, whole place in need of refurbishment, only 1 towel each (not changed in 3 days), staff (except for 1 receptionist) bad mannered and surly, had a room at the back... Just returned from a short break in Barcelona and stayed in the Sunotel Central. Great hotel with a fantastic rooftop pool which we were lucky enough to use due to the amazing weather. Our first night was spent in a room at the front of the hotel and was incredibly noisy due to high volume if traffic. We asked to... More

Ok this is an average hotel . But I have stayed 4 times here because every time i look for a hotel in Barcelona this is the best value for money. Its close to the center (10 minutes on foot) its rooms are adequately sized and breakfast its ok . Cleaning services should come every day sometimes they forget that

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
