Our passports were in our safe in our rooms, and someone broke into the room and into our safe, and stole our passports! We are convinced it was an inside job as no one else has the key to our rooms, or how to get into the safes. A lot of money and time was spent issuing an emergency passport... More

The hotel is a good 3 star hotel. It's well located, easily walkable from many sites. I do not suggest using their car park as it's very tight and does not have much space (plenty of car parks in the area). The rooms are spacious and have all the facilities you might need. They could do with updating though. The... More

We stayed for one week at this seemingly smallish hotel sitting on Gran Via de les Cortes Catalan, a main thoroughfare across Barcelona; it is located right in the university district, just 6-7 walkable blocks from the vibrant city’s core Placa Catalunya where the tour buses are based. The Sunotel is actually 100 or so rooms in two joined buildings... More

This very basic accommodation is grossly overpriced for the quality. Not only was the breakfast buffet 15€ (laughable!) the hallway carpet had significant stains and one night had a roll of toilet paper down the corridor- the last night of our stay found our electricity supply had cut off. Besides being blamed for this failure (staff cited our charging devices)... More

Location of this hotel is fantastic. like all European non chain hotels, the rooms are small and the amenities lack. no kettle, coffee, iron in the rooms. beds are small by American standards. But.. the rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and breakfast was good.

If you are looking for a 4 star hotel, this one is definitely not the right one. This is more like a 2 star hotel. There is no Gym, very small room, and not very clean. I guess they haven't cleaned the air condition filter for a very long time so both me and my wife had hard to breathe... More

stayed here for three nights checking out today. Very tiny rooms , unfriendly staff , the hotel has 4 stars however the rooms are half the size of low economy hotels like econolodge. their star number needs review. The bed sized room were clean and the location is good.

Stayed at this hotel last summer. Very accommodating staff, but the beds were small and not very comfortable but one of the staff embers got us some extra pillows which helped. Nice, central location we were able to walk almost everywhere. I enjoyed my stay very much but it was by no means luxurious. The pool was always pretty crowded... More

We stayed here whilst visiting the Moto GP. We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the ramblas where the main designer shops and nightlife are. The taxi from the airport was approx €20. Rooms were very clean and tidied and cleaned everyday. Reception staff were very friendly. Spoke great english/spanish/french (from what we heard).... More

We are on our honeymoon & have been travelling in France & Italy in 4 star hotels. This is NOT 4 star. We overpaid! Worse than that is we arrived at 22:00 & were given the last room in the hotel, (paid 7 months ago). When we got to the room it STANK, like dead rats & cigarette smoke. We... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
