Great location, exceptionally clean hotel. Breakfast was great. You could not ask for better service from the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is just off La Rambles with many good restaurants nearby. You can walk to many of the major sights. Has a lift so you do not need to carry bags up to your room.

Booked through hotels.com which made it a good deal. Small street of the Rumbla street. Not the best neighborhood. The hotel is new renovated, very esthetic. Service nice. The room was small but a big wide bed. The air condition could no be stopes and was overheating. Free slow wifi

The hotel is in a busy street off las ramblas. The common areas are very nice as one can see from the pictures. Very design with classical Spanish and Moorish patterns. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. On the negative side, sound insulation from room to room and room to hallways is terrible. You can hear everything if someone... More

Booked here for a Valentines Weekend break in one of my favourite cities. I decided to pay a bit more for a nice hotel, and did I feel I got value for money, well no not really. Rooms was nice and clean, breakfast was good and plentiful. But it just missed that 'something'. Would I stay here again, no, there... More

I stayed for three nights at the Onix with my brother and the stay was lovely. The hotel had a great location for almost all the tourism cites you are looking for, Its two blocks away from the famous La Rambla street. The rooms were big and clean with a nice LCD screen. For what we paid, Im definitely giving... More

My wife and I have just spent 4 nights at this hotel and the overall experience was excelent. Onix Liceo is right in the heart of Barcelona with Ramblas just one street away. I have a slight walking disability and we booked a room to cope with this. We were allocated room 101 which is huge!!!......King size bed, "his and... More

To begin with I asked the front desk,2 weeks before I arrive to send me a list with restaurant recommendations so I can book a in advance.Since it is a 4 star hotel they should have done that right away, however they sent me an email saying that they will give me a list when I arrive?! The staff continued... More

2nd time staying here and again it was a great stay. Location is central to the beach and to Sagrada Familia (approx 1 hour in any direction or less). Awesome hotel facilities with a pool which we sat in and had coffee at 3:00am.2 blocks from Las Ramblas and great style in the hotel with a very modern look. Honestly... More

My visit started badly when I realized that this hotel has a policy of "no-refund for any reason," if booked as part of a vacation package. Although I pre-paid for the hotel as part of a package, they would not let me check in until I paid an additional tax of 15 euro. I paid with a 50 euro note,... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
