They don't have AC to cool down the rooms. When we were there, we were sweating constantly. They just open the windows during winter to let fresh air in. In our care however, our window was looking into the inside of the building, so there was really not use of having it open. Breakfast was OK, not great, seen better.... More

Strategic positioned in the hearth of Las Ramblas/Ciudad Veilla. Said and sold as a 4**** hotel, it's definitely a 3*** with small and poor furniture rooms, loud during night and morning (bad choice of synthetic parquet rigid floor... This is the case where a moquette would had been appreciated), but the WORST experience is their BAD QUALITY BREAKFAST in the... More

Very nice hotel, the entrance is very big and spacious and feels very upper class, The room was perfect. Very large double bed with everything you need for a short break. Location is brilliant with a short walk from La Ramblas.

We went to Barcelona for a city break holiday to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and stayed 3 nights in this hotel. We were very pleased, great location just a short walk to Las ramblas, clean modern hotel, friendly helpful staff, breakfast buffet nice. Would recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel for our 1st anniversary....before reading any reviews, so we were slightly concerned after reading them as there were quite negative ones... Having stayed at this hotel, i cant understand why... The staff were so friendly, the room was spotless, and very quiet. We had a room overlooking the pool, it was very quiet. The hotel was... More

This is a lovely hotel, very modern with a touch of the old! staff very helpful, no safe in room, you have to use reception safe which is a bit of a nuisance as you have to ask for your box each time you need it, was ok though, but beware you have to leave 50 euro deposit then 5.50... More

We booked this hotel based on the location for our honeymoon last August. The hotel was located on a side street from La Rambla. We were greeted and shown to our room. First thing we noticed was all the beautiful marble and the grand staircase. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Hotel is very conveniently located for walking to most locations.... More

The room and location are quit good! It's the service that gets me negative! Wow! The guys at the reception won't even say hello or anything! Their english is really bad also so you will have to explain everything three times! The reception staff is the worst thing about this hotel!

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
