Great location and nice room for the price however: 1. I had asked 1 simply thing and once I got there they didnt have it in mind 2. Pillows that could kill your neck 3. Awful bathroom smell if you leave it closed for some hours Bedrooms are better if you have view to the street. You will be able... More

The location is great and right on the ramblas. The hotel itself is pretty average (hence my rating). The hotel was clean but pretty basic and a bit run down. The air comditioning in our room barely worked (although it technically blew out air so nobody was inclined to come fix it) and considering it was August in Barcelona, we... More

Really enjoyed my stay here. Came with my grandma to see Barcelona for the first time. Location of this hostel was incredible and the facilities for what you pay for are great! Looking out on La Rambla was amazing and really didn't expect the clean, modern room we were so lucky to get. Staff were lovely and happy to help.... More

I took my 21 year old granddaughter to Barcelona overnight. We checked in at 13.20, many other hotels checkin is after 1500. We went to the wrong hostel first, it was horrendous. So we were a bit worried about our hostel, only a few doors away. There was no need to worry. It was great. The owners were very obliging... More

Would definitely recommend staying here. Great location, very helpful staff. The only slight issue we had was that the room had no fridge which my friend needed to keep her diabetic insulin in, but the staff had one and were very helpful. Room was big and clean, as was the bathroom. Our room was overlooking the ramblas, but we didn't... More

Excellent accomodation with easy access to metro and renfe(national rail). Was able to make the most of my stay in the hostal because of the location on la rambla....plenty of choice of eating places and plenty of fruits at the boqueria market just opposite. staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very basic and maybe could improved (thats the... More

Those who have been to Barcelona know that there could not be a better address than on the Ramblas. I guess that even those that have not been to the Catalan Capital know this. And Hostal Boqueria, amazingly, sits right in the middle of the Ramblas, its distance from Placa Catalunia being roughly equal to that from the Columbus monument... More

If u r visitin barcelona, la ramla street is where u wanna be. But again the acco there is costly. I found this hostal very much value for money. I visited there in July, 2013 with my wife. the tariff i paid was 70 euros/day. Unlike other hostals this one has an attached bathroom. it is more of a mediocre... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and was not disappointed. Given the price of the room was cheap, we weren't expecting much, but our room and bathroom was nice and clean. Our room was set back from la Rambla so noise was not an issue, however the air conditioning didn't seem to be working too well so the room did become... More

Cheap, clean, helpful and central. We stayed away from the lift so the noise level was great for barca, I have stayed in much worse so would return to this one. Breakfast was very basic and really not worth getting out of bed for! But the market is right in front so fresh fruit is right there.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
