Las Ramblas is sooooo overrated. I would never stay on that road again. Your better off staying in Raval or near to the beach - somewhere a little off the beaten track. This 'hotel' was a one star. Tiny little towels, dark rooms, one sheet to sleep under, balcony overlooking a large rubbish bin, hideous day core, no self entry... More

To say that the room was spare may exaggerate. It's a hostel. There was a bed, nightstand, desk, tv, and a phone on the wall. The tub/shower was adequate but built for tall people. We had to supplement the towels by raiding the linen closet. Breakfast is minimal if your reservation includes it. Our view was a little alley. There... More

I have stayed at the Hostal Boqueria a few times and I have always had a positive experience. The hotel is in a great location with a metro stop immediately outside. You are on La Rambla and only a shortish walk from the other main attractions. It is a fairly simple hotel so those wanting luxury should probably stay elsewhere.... More

The Hostal is ideally situated,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was just as booked , clean comfortable beds, the shower was super (not a dribble) we would recommend it to anyone and would stay there again. Straight out of the front door and into the Boqueria market for breakfast wonderful !

the hotel was clean , simple for B&B , but a bit expensive manily due to the fact that it's located in Barcelona busiest street LA Rambla , which i totally recommend against it ,, i recommend you stay somewhere near Plaza De Catalunya ,as the street is too busy even the airport taxi can't reach the hotel !! The... More

I booked this hostel due to the location, price and the previous reviews and photos. The location is great just by the Liceu metro station on La Rambla. My room did not look anything at all like any of the photos taken, it was old, worn down, small, not so clean. There was no duvet just the bed sheets and... More

As we missed out flight, we had to stay over in Barcelona one more night. We were spoilt by Rafaelhotel Badalona but I need to admit that we were really positively suprised! Hostal Boqueria is centraly located - at the main Barcelona street La Rambla. It is very clean, towels are included and they even offer breakfast. If we travel... More

This is in an amazing location! Staff are really friendly and helpful. The place itself is a bit odd in terms of it's above shops and goes back a long way so feels a bit like a rabbit warren. Room was clean and basic, bed was comfy, shower had good pressure and hot water. It's not shiny and new, but... More

We stayed on our first trip to Barcelona and found this Hostel very accomdating and good value for money. We had a room facing La Rambla which was fascinating to watch the activities going on in the street. Very handy to get to all attractions and close to the beach! Breakfast is continental but cooked breakfast is available in the... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
