Enjoyed my stay with friends in this hostel. Great location as it is accessible through the metro, shops and restaurants. I like the interior design concept, free breakfast. The six nest bedroom was cozy and perfect for our group of friends. Will recommend to friends.

i stayed for a week here during my european tour with a friend and i have to say, it's my favorite hostel so far! the receptionists, the cleaning staff and the owners are really nice and helpful. they're always ready to help you with directions, recommend where to eat, where to go clubbing, etc. they really get out of their... Our group stayed for 3 days in this hostel. Twas very close to the centre and about 15-20 mins walk from Barna Sants. There were few shops and restaurants around it that it made very convenient. Though the bathroom wasnt actually ensuite it was just opposite the room. Room was good enough for the price. Very quiet at night the... More

Stayed there for 10 days while searching for a shared flat and i have only the best to say about FreeHostels. This was not a party trip for me so this hostel in a quiet location was perfect for me. Very friendly staff, excellent and very modern facilities, fully equiped kitchen, rich breakfast, quiet during the night and even the... More

Of all the hostels I've stayed in, this is easily the cleanest and nicest. Bathrooms, beds, and communal spaces were all very nice. The biggest highlight for us was the curtain you had over your bed, so you could have a bit of privacy and not be bothered if your roommates turned on the lights. Plugs in every bunk and... More

I booked my hostel blind because I just wanted to stay somewhere before finding a nice apartment for my exchange semester in Barcelona and I could not have asked for a nicer welcome in this new city. I shared my room with four other girls. We had a clean and modern bathroom, just for ourselves. The rooms were clean and... More

Free Hostels is a very good hostel: clean, with atentious staff and pretty good installments, well located if you don't want to be in the downtown chaos, and with a great breakfast included (considering hostels parameters). But it is definitely not a hostel to be if you are travelling by yourself, as it does not organize any activity for its... More

Visited Barcelona in Nov 2014 on a solo backpack trip and this place was like an icing on the cake. The hostel is more like a hotel, staff is super friendly, rooms, living area, washroom are all so clean and smell so fresh. I booked a four bed mixed dorm and the rooms have so much storage space. The room... More

A quiet hostel where we can sleep after a long day of exploring! The staffs were very polite and helpful from the day we checked in and all of them are fluent in English so no worries if your Spanish is rather limited. You can choose to walk from Sants Estacio (10-15 mins) or take L5 to Entenca or Hospital... More

I think this is a good way to spend some days in Barcellona: new beautiful rooms and a fantastic hospitality! Not far from the centre and nice prices! You can meet a lot of young people. Some of them travel alone and from a lot of different places of the world: a great way to share your holiday! 😁

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
