It was my second time in Barcelona and I stayed for five nights at this hotel Just 5 min walk from Plaza de Catalunya. Great hospitality and cleanliness in these studies with small kitchen and bathroom. The owner was extremely kind and supported us with nice and useful advices. The place has a good balance quality/price if you dont expect... More

The hotel (well, actually it is a former apartment at one floor in a building, where every room is a 'hotel room') is located very well right at the center within walking distance to most of the city (even the Sagrada Famiglia can be reached by foot, only the Park Güell is too far away). Our room was quite o.k.... More

Really liked the location cos it is within walking distance to La Rambla, and the entrance to Uquinaona metro station was just opposite the hotel. There were supermarkets nearby, so buying water and other necessities were easy. There is a cafe on the same street as the hotel, serving coffee, great baguettes, croissants (loved their chocolate croissants!) at very reasonable... More

We can't praise this hotel enough. I feel I will be reiterating what alot of reviewers have already commented on here but here I go. The staff, especially Joey, were extremly helpful and even before we arrived Joey was eager to confirm our travel plans calling us in England afew days before to verify directions. When we arrived Joey greeted... More

First of all, this place is to recommend. I was met late by the manager witch is the most helpful, wonderful Canadian ever. It was really late at night, and still he took his time to explain to me everything I needed to know - both regarding the apartment and Barcelona. Staying here, I almost felt like I had my... More

We stayed in this hotel in April 2014. The hotel is at the center and close to almost everywhere. It is abit tricky to find. It is actually the second floor of a building. Its location in google maps is correct. The owner is very nice and helpful. The room was large with small balcony. The kitchen equipment was limited... More

We had a wunderfull time at Center Plaza. In the heart of the city, Near by some great attractions. On the corner a nice bakery named 365 which is offcourse how the name suggest open 365 days a year. They have excellent coffee and pastries for low prices. 2 coffee with 2 chocolate croissants (sort of) for 3,40 euro!. Supermarket... More

Barcelona Center Plaza is all about value. First the location - near Placa Catalunya and a 15 minute walk from the La Rambla, this is very conveniently located. The Uriquinoa Metro Station is just a 5 minute walk away and another 5 minute walk will take one to Metro Station Placa Catalunya, with connections to every part of Barcelona. The... More

We spent three night at Center Plaza, just next to the heart of the city: Placa Catalunya. We got a bigger room (for 4 persons instead of 3). The staff was more than nice, (thank you Joey!). They e-mail-ed us before departure to explain us how we could get to Center Plaza. The room was very big, clean and comfortable... More

My main gripe about this place is the lack of a 24hr reception. You have to text them to let them know when your flight lands. So they know to be there. Once there, you get in a really old rickety lift but it was quirky and so I didn't mind. Then the hotel is a floor of the building... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
