This was the cheapest centrally located hotel we could find on short notice in Barcelona. It was very near our Barcelonan friends and the Sagrada Familia, so the location was perfect for us.
We feared that we maybe had gone too low, but shouldn't have worried: the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so we were pleased.

stayed here twice now, and would stay again happily. two "blocks" up from the sagrada familia, with easy access to the metro. Bars, cafes and restaurants all close by, no cooking facilities in hostel - take a travel kettle! fabulously clean, come back to a tidy room every day, and you get a front door key so you can come...
