My partner and I visited Barcelona for three nights and our stay at this hotel was perfect. The building is stunning inside and out, the staff were brilliant, the food was great, the rooms were beautiful and the price was the best we could find for such a high quality hotel. Would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting the... More

The hotel is an Historical building, the welcoming feeling is there on the spot. Friendly and helpfull staff, great bar with a good terrace. Excellent choice of wine and cocktails. Breakfast is basic but fresh and tasty. Walking distance to the main area's or even better; rent a bicycle from the hotel and you're all set. Only comment; Rooms are... More

This hotel has a very nice atmosphere. This very well renovated and decorated hotel is a "must go to". Good price-quality ratio. Unfortunately we did not have dinner at the restaurant, only breakfast, which was very good. Also the bar outside is a relaxt hang out place. The bed was not that comfortable and also the rooms are very bad... More

Sometimes its a lot about the places you stay when visiting a new city that builds up your experiences of the city. Market Hotel is just Zen like, beautifully designed with a fantastic location and obviously warm and friendly service. The rooms are big enough and just loved the black tiled bath that totally refresh you. This is by far... More

We stayed at the Market Hotel in Barcelona twice, the last time being in March 2015. The Hotel is small, but very comfortable and very near all the main attractions in the city center of Barcelona. The restaurant is also excellent and the staff very helpful. It is really a great place to stay and we will be returning there... More

We chose this hotel because of it's location. From here you can basically reach loads of sights, the gothic quarter and El Born by feet. Really disappointing was the fact that the Hotel was a construction site from 8 in the morning. I understand that renovations need to be done but I think it's rather ignorant to start tearing down... We recently spent 3 nights at the Market Hotel. We booked there to meet up with friends who and already booked there. Previously we have stayed on or just off La Rambla. We looked at the neighborhood on Google Earth and it didn't really look that nice and quite a few reviews on TripAdvisor were negative. We were very happy... More

The hotel was very good. It has 58 rooms. There is a restaurant in the hotel. We did not have a refrigerator in the room, but if you went down to the bar they would give you a bucket of ice. Room had some noise filtering thru from other rooms. Bed was comfortable. Nice place for coffee and pastries across... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
