I loved this hotel. Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Rooms are awesome - very cool art, comfortable beds, cool decor, nice bathrooms with great shower! The restaurant at the hotel is pretty great too. The BAR IS AWESOME! Great cocktails and cool ambiance. I really could not say anything nicer about this experience. For the price it is the... More

This was a great hotel, excellet decor, nice shower and in a good location. Excellent value for money The hotel lighting could be slightly better as not ideal for reading in bed. Beautiful building, stunning marble staircase and great position for browsing the Sunday market. Good metro link for sagrada de familia and the beach. Perfect base for a city... More

The hotel is situated conveniently close to shops, restaurants and bars. The room was extremely clean and was modern and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, this was varied and there was plenty to choose from. The restaurant was extremely busy that afternoon and appeared to have a reasonable menu. The decor in the dining room was beautiful... More

Boutique hotel, nice for couples and friends. Hotel Market is located nearby St. Anton Market. (end of renovation) with good connection (Bus, subway) with walking distance to many well known places. Like in all BCN hotel is surrounded by local bars and restaurants. Our curiosity push us to eat outside so we only tested bar :) Nice room with additional... More

This hotel has been well renovated and is very modern with an amazing cocktail bar. Whilst the shower is amazing, the renovations haven't sound proofed the rooms. We found the rooms to be noisey and without a fridge, which is essential in any hotel. Added to this, a giant portrait of Mao overlooking the bedroom is not what I would... More

I loved my stay at Hotel Market, it is the hotel I would stay if I would be a foreigner in Barcelona. I discovered it from their restaurant, they have a great breakfast selection, the price is good around 70 euros a night for a double room and for Barcelona prices is good value. I always recommend it to my... More

This hotel is a must if you do not want to spend a fortune (W Hotel), yet still wish to have a high quality stay that is located in the old town. The rooms are simply perfect: Nicely decorated, VERY comfortable bed, spotless, and - I am not exagerating: THE BEST shower I have EVER had the pleasure of being... More

I arrived to early to check in the room, shortly after noon. Left my luggage at the hotel and toured till 4pm, when I checked in officially. No one took me to the room, but I took the elevator and found it. Turned on the TV and the air con and took a shower. When I had dried off, I... More

The hotel is an Historical building, the welcoming feeling is there on the spot. Friendly and helpfull staff, great bar with a good terrace. Excellent choice of wine and cocktails. Breakfast is basic but fresh and tasty. Walking distance to the main area's or even better; rent a bicycle from the hotel and you're all set. Only comment; Rooms are... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
