This is an excellent location and a really lovely place to stay as a female on your own. I really liked the styling of the hotel and was really surprised that it was a 2 star. Helpful staff from the cleaner to the receptionist. They have a very good attention to detail. The rooms are small and sufficient for one.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, fantastic retro entrance to the hotel, we were welcomed by happy and welcoming staff who sent us up to room 504 on the 5th floor! The room - very clean but small. Bed very comfy but the room is almost like a bedroom with en suite. The bathroom is excellent fully equipped with everything you... More

We have stay in hotel Acta for two times now, this hotel is just perfect. It's nearby the centre and everything you need on a trip is availible. Nice breakfast, clean rooms and a very good service. I know for sure that we will return to hotel Acta40 Barcelona!

Stayed in this hotel with my partner just before christmas for a weekend. The hotel is spotless, staff were really friendly and assisted us with al enquiries we had. We paid for breakfast before we went, which I would reccommend, as it is more expensive if you pay when you arrive. The hotel is fairly central, within walking distance of... More

The hotel is very nice. The room was mint clean and the staff was very helpful. I have to agree with previous reviews regarding the safety of the street where the hotel is situated. A bit noisy, but mostly due to some construction works going in a nearby building. I'm not shore if this happened to any of you, but... More

Enjoyed a 4 night stay with my partner. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely decorated, we were at the front of the hotel and had a balcony over looking the street. We were worried about how safe the area was after reading some reviews but found the street safe day and... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in January for 5 nights, and it was a really nice little place! When we arrived, and the taxi took us down a little street I was a bit apprehensive, but once we got into the hotel my worries went straight away! It had a modern feel, and a lot of character in the... More

This place completed my needs; economical, clean, comfy and close to the centre. When I first arrived I thought 'oh no!' About the location, the street seems a bit rough, but once I had stayed for a couple of days I realized that it's quite safe and has that great barcelonian style. I recommend this hotel

The hotel has many positive aspects: location, clean rooms, and the most important, very helpful and friendly staff. They were amazing. The relationship cost/benefit is quite fair when it comes to Barcelona, a city which charge us for everything. The only negative aspect is that there are some teenagers who spent most of their time, including at night skaterollng in... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
