I loved this hotel's location. It's 5 minutes walk to a Metro, about 10 minutes to Familia Sangrada and about 25 minutes to the heart of Las Ramblas. Fairly central, but just far enough removed from the busier, tacky parts of Barcelona. The hotel is a very stylish conversion of an old building with enough original features remaining. Room was... We have choosen the 987 for it's location and very good price. I better understand now, why the hotel has so many mixed ratings. The roomy are tiny (I mean really small), no real storage, no desk to work on. The real downer is the toilet, only separated from the bed by a thin glass wall - absolutely a no... More

The hotel is hosted in what must have been a 19th century / early 20th century palazzo. The rooms have been redesigned with modern amenities. It was our third stay there, the first one 4 years ago. Most enjoyable as usual. Rooms feel a little less fresh and sparkling than they did 4 years hope. Hope the owners will remember... More

We didn't stay in the hotel, just in the restaurant for dinner. First of all, it has a good location, not in the middle of the crowd but just 2 streets away from Passeig de Gracia, in a quite place. About the dinner: we eat crepes of dry-cured Spanish ham, cheese and caramelized apple with a little bit of salad... More

Second stay in modern hotel with nice and coasy rooms. Excellent location just three blocks from Passeig de Gracia and nearby Sagrada la Famiglia cathedral. Plenty of good food also in walking distance. Just missing the roof top terrace from some other hotels stayed earlier. Or maybe I just did not found it yet.

Not exactly a 4star hotel. Price is highly increased during special occasions (4nights was something like €2500) although they are a bit far away from the centre. Rooms are extremely tiny although nicely furnished. The set of body wash, body lotion, shampo and conditioner was given only twice (on arrival and on the third day) which wasn't appropriate for a... Had the opportunity to stay at 987 for three nights in October. The hotel is located close enough to the tourist locations, good shopping and food without being in a tourist district. Rooms are clean with a good modern feel. Mine was quite large, showers are great, Wifi is strong. Breakfast was good enough. The bed was large but a... More

Great Hotel located in the heart of Barcelona, really close to Sagrada Familia. Large rooms, modern decoration and a great winebar with wine by glass. Don't miss the Verol Winebar that is located by the corner to drink a good wine of small producers.

Situated near the Garcia Passage/avenue. The location is good, we walked down to the old town/barri Gothic most days. Its close to several sights, but more importantly, tucked away from touristy bits and near authentic local restaurants. The place has quite a Scandinavian feel, the furnishing is cool. Liked the room, nice balcony looking over the street. Seemed to get... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
