The location is good but the price we paid didn't correspond to our expectations. It appeared later on that there is a hotel with the same name which we were supposed to book. The personnel was very friendly, though. We expected to have at least breakfast for the price we paid.

The location is amazing, right the the center of old Barcelona. The place is clean an simple. The service people nice and helpfull. The only problem is the is is right on the piaza. Beutifull to watch but noisy at all hours.

Last minute treat to Barca, whilst hunting for accommodation I found this. Fantastic location and a great price. I only saw the private en suite I stayed in. It was as expected, no thrills, terrible bed linen design, BUT clean, very clean. Front desk polite and very helpful. I would stay here again.

There where really very awful view from a window, it was just 2 meters to the backside of the wall to next building :/ Room was really dark without fresh air inside. Only one positive point is very good location in the center of old town.

I'm quite surprised at the bad reviews I've read. I had a very good experience so I booked an extra night. The only reason I'm not spending my entire stay here is because there is no kitchen area for preparing my own food. My room was tiny and the decor was very old-fashioned, but it's perfect if you just want... More

I see some complaints here but all I can say is that it was fine for the price - the typical small-ish old-school European hotel. At least they've got an elevator for luggage, which can be rare..! Room was small by American standards but just fine for our stay. We don't spend that much time in the room anyway... Easy... More

I stayed in a budget room as that was all that was left when I booked. No problem. But! The sink in my room was emitting a terrible stench. I had to plug it with tissues so I could sleep. Even for a budget room.... This place was NOT worth the money. All the furniture and fixtures looked like they... More

I stayed 3 nights in this pension. The last night when I had to leave fo take my bus to the airport I found out my DVD player has been stolen from the room. The staff was informed we had to leave at 3 in the morning so we hadn't got the time to go to the police! Besides this... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
