I stayed at alternative creative hostel for five day in September 2015. I felt quite at home and was able to do some meditation and yoga and some artwork (collage) and cooked dinner several times with some other guests at the hostel.

I really enjoyed staying in this Alternative youth hostel in Barcelona. The staff was great, the rooms were clean. The hostel is in a very good location, close to everything, and its easy to get there from the air port.

It's quite a special place run by friendly, helpful people. I had booked one night and ended up staying an entire week. There are many restaurants near-by and the hostel has a deal with some of them to give discount to their guests. The hostel is small and you therefore easily get in touch with other travelers. The location is... More

The hostel was clean and otherwise good but some of the other guests were super noisy during the night time and the staff did nothing to prevent the noise. The staff were all foreigners and some of them had no glue about the tourist attractions (i.e. tours to wine yards). There were lots of hidden extra costs, for example cost... More

There are many hostels I have visited and I must say that ACYH is all a traveller ever needs! Lovely and helpful staff, great atmosphere inside and all required facilities. It's not a huge sleeping place like thousands around, I felt like at home there! Also, the place design makes it easy to meet other guests. Apart from that, the... More

I immediately felt at home in this hostel in the middle of the city! It is very easy to get in contact with other fellow travellers (in case you like). I especially appreciated that we received a map from the hostel which highlighted their recommendations for restaurants and bars! Because of that we managed to visit several hidden gems in... More

This place is one of my best choices ever! I really enjoyed my time in Barcelona and that was thanks to their staff and great vibes there. On the other hand, the location was perfect, close to a Metro Station and so many other great places.

It is a great hostel in the city center with friendly and helpful staff. Every room was clean. If you want to use the free wifi, you have to give access to some personal information for an unknown company.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
