Before I start my review I want to take a notice that I am making a review of a 3* hotel, not 5* (for those who expect a service not relevant to the hotel category). For me BCN Montjuic is a wonderful place for a city break in Barcelona! I was really wondering if I have to book the hotel... More

Stayed here for 1 night after spending a few days in Salou. This hotel/apartments were absolutely brilliant. I was very surprised on how modern it looked and the space and comfort. The bathroom was very nice. Modern, spacious and the shower was powerful. Couldn't pick any faults whatsoever. It was only 10 min walk from the bus stop that takes... More

Bleak, depressing rooms with no character whatsoever and showers that flood. We had booked a triple room and there was no bedlinen for the third person, just a blanket. Not like in the photos on hotels.com. The staff were very friendly but the check-in process is ridiculously long.

On taking the A1 bus from the airport, paying around 6 euros each, we arrived at the Bcn after a short 10 minute walk from the stop at Plaza Espana. The 2 Guys on the desk were brilliant in both being very attentive and speaking English, which they were throughout our stay.. The Rooms were minimalistic but more than adequate... More

Location is good for running on the local hill. Good for hiking and in an ok distance from the metro. Our room where dirty, hair on the floor, and other pieces of dirt. Mould in the shower and the shower head where broken. Extremely spacious big apartment though, with 3 beds, washing machine etc.

It is an apartment hotel and I was "awarded" with a room without any external view. The basic amenities were there (I hate the soap dispenser) and it was equipped for cooking / food heating, although I didn't use the kitchen. Furniture is modern and functional, the bed is good and provides adequate sleep, overall noise was low. I didn't... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
