The interior design of the apartment was good and the overall area inside the apartment was very pleasing. There were quite a few useful facilities available, such as a kettle, washing machine (quite a bad one), dishwasher and a few others. The reception people are not very lenient about the date of stay, but overall the apartments were completely amazing!... More

Very Poor customer service. Make sure you get everything in writing and don't plan on a helpful or friendly staff. The apartment we stayed in was Sant Pau 6, 3 bdrm, 2 bath. It was OK, nothing special but worked out fine. Fairly quiet and safe neighborhood for sleeping and walking around. Typical, uncomfortable European mattresses. The location was not... More

There was only one AirConditioner in the living room and absolutely nothing in the bed rooms.. we got roasted in the spanish heat ... when we called the reception to ask, the receptionist literally said "I am very busy, pls do not disturb" !!!! the bed rooms were very very cramped, hardly space to walk round the bed. We couldnt... More

The apartment was very centrally located, very clean, and well maintained. The picture of it on the web matched the reality, and the bottle of wine and fruit as a welcoming gesture were appreciated. It had a lift for arrival and departure (the rest of the time it was faster to use the stairs). Great views overlooking the church, and... More

Great location for a start, dont be fooled by the looks of the entrance, the smell and the state of the building entrance will put you of but the apartments will compensate that, even though small they are brand new, well equiped and most important clean! Location only one word: Excelent.

When we first arrvied at the location of the hotel it took us about 30mins trying to find the reception. What wasn't mentioned to us was that it is around the corner. But the locals were helpful to some point, to show us the right direction. Once we got our keys, I was shocked to see the state of the... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Good points: Location in relation to the Ramblas & Gothic Quarter. Clean, modern and comfortable apartments, good price and friendly staff. There are also some great little restaurants & taverns in the next street. Bad points: The street where the actual apartments are located is not the best, with some people "hanging around" outside &... More

I booked the BCN Houses Daily Apartments at Passatge Escudellers 3 in Barcelona, Spain through hotelclub.net. My friend and I arrived on 11/14/2006 at approximately 1600 hours. After we arrived at the airport, we called the hotel to inform them that we were on our way to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, which was diffiuclt to find,... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
