Location is great, very central in the city. Room is simple, but clean. Our room was close to the kitchen. Sometimes there was a bit of noise of early birds. During breakfast it is funny to meet other guests in the kitchen. Kitchen is small and can be a bit crowded.

Great location, esepcially for the university of Barcelona (2 minutes walk). Good price, 24 hours free breakfast is a great bonus (we would eat breakfast in the morning, and then came back in the afternoon for excellent coffee and cookies). Showers and bathroom are really small, but reasonable. WIFI could be better. Overall, recommended for a cheap stay in the... More

Value for money in a nutshell. The hostel is clean and tidy very close to town. Breakfast had variety of cereal coffee and tea on offer. I would recommend it to my friends and family would go there again definitely.

Stayed here for 8 nights. Overall I think it is a good budget option in Barcelona, which are not easy to find. But if you compare it to quality experienced in budget hotels in europe it is merely average. The room space was sufficient. Also it was a plus that we could open the window / doors to let in... If you don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money, but you want to be in a good, clean location in Barcelona, this is a great place to stay. The woman who greeted up was very pleasant and willing to recommend places to eat and hang out. We only stayed one night, but the night was a decent sleep.... More

Good: Location is very close to Universitat metro and Aerobus stop, and central to the best neighbourhoods. All-day self-serve cold breakfast is nice, though it's no smorgasbord. Bad: Uncomfortable bed. Thin, springy, uneven. Dirty room. The all-white, minimalist sanitarium chic decor looks dirty easily. Ugly: WORST wifi ever. I was unable to use the wifi in my room (second floor)... More

I recommend this place : - very well located, near Pl. Catalunya. - al day breakfast (self service) is much appreciated - rooms are cleaned The only thing that can be tricky is if you come after 9 pm, you have to go to another place to take the key (Jaume) : not so far so it's ok.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
