Great location, helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, no complaints whatsoever. Right off Las Ramblas, easy to walk to all parts of town but close to the metro if you're tired of walking. Great breakfast buffet (extra) to start the day off right. Would definitely stay there again.

We thought the family room was large for a family with 2 kids. Yes, the corridor was dark. It was all painted black with sensor lights that light up when you walk. All staff were nice. No dampness in our room - it is on level 3 and faces the school. Breakfast - we ate at the hotel twice -... More

Once you walk through the reception you notice the smell of damp !! The first room we managed one night only as we had ANTS everywhere. The carpet was filthy with stains.... second room had the same damp smell as the first and the carpet was again dirty. Also had a bad smell coming up from the sink in the... More

Hotel Petit Palace is to be avoided. I hesitated to stay at the petit Palace due to the poor reviews. The hotel was actually worse than our low expectation. The two rooms I was offered were grubby and worn. The damp and grubby smell was masked by strong air freshness. The family room was small and very claustrophobic and the... More

Good location for travelling around central Barcelona but hotel requires a bit of investment to bring it up to a reasonable standard. The hotel is certainly not a 4 star establishment, it is a bit run down, we had to request change of room due to damp smell. Top bunk bed was very unsafe as it did not have a... More

I have nothing good to say about this hotel. When we arrived on Sunday evening there was nobody to help us, we had to wander around calling for help. We were here for a romantic week away, something we don't get to do often, so the sense of disappointment when we opened the bedroom door was high when we saw... More

Hotel smells great! Fresh and clean! I dont know what they use but I still miss that smell. Breakfast menu is very rich. Location is great. You can walk or use bus and metro which are very close to the hotel. There are several lovely cafes near hotel where you can relax and drink a cup of tea. The only thing... More

Located just off Ramblas, 20 mins walk to beach,15 mins to zoo. Great restaurants all around. Metro station 2 mins walk, ideal for Nou camp or exploring further afield .Good selection for breakfast at hotel. Helpful staff, advertised as 4 star I would say closer to 3 star , but a very good overall hotel for the price.

We booked our room through Bongo, and were drawn to this choice because of the great location and good looking pictures. When we arrived early morning we were greeted by a very kind receptionist, Mr Practicas, who brushed of his Dutch to help us out. Throughout our stay, he was very kind and helpful, as was the entire staff. The... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
